I used these to rig up my solar cover so I can pull it back on with a rope. Works, even goes through 2 layers of the cover that are overlapped.First one broke when hitting it gently with a hammer. Then used a rubber mallet and didn't break any more.

I bought these because I saw them in passing, and thought I'd give them a try. Tapping them in pace was simple enough. Being able to reach where I wanted then on the solar blanket was far more tricky, but that had nothing to do with the grommets.However, a couple of them I noticed had broken bottom connectors, or locks, or whatever they are that hold it in place. That part is not very solid, so be careful on the tap-in because they will break if you hit them too hard.I don't have any issues with standing water on my solar blanket now, and I live in South Florida, where during the rainy season the rainstorms come and go often. It's not exciting stuff, but it is effective.

Now I can drain off water with out having debris fall back into the pool.
