Hello Orlando Cajun. Yes this device sends a tone to the speaker so you know it is connected. If you have wires leading to the speaker connect the alligator clips. If an amplifier is connected use the RCA. Hope this information helps you and be safe with the hurricane.

It has a speaker polarity button and ifs it hooked up wrong the speaker will suck in and hooked up right will push out kinda like using a 9v battery but easier

No you can not use this unit...is only for testing for audio...u can use a few modulator to send the sound from your fone to your stereo....or a bluetooth device

I suppose you could, but the frequency daily isn't very accurate. So I'd advise a different device.
