Would I buy it again? Yes
Would I buy it again? YesWhy did I buy this? I bought this so I could connect a 15” USB-C portable computer monitor to my desktop or laptop using a single USB-C cable. A super simple single USB-C cable would have been sweet.Note to self: Read the entire product description. The part that stated, “Note: USB C interface contains only data signal, not video”, would have been a big clue to me that it would not work for my use case.Pros:1. Works great for its designed purpose2. It was super simple to install (plug in, turn on the computer and the Windows saw it no problem)3. Free Returns if you don't read the product descriptionCons:1. It did not magically work the way I wanted it to.Would I buy it again? Yes

plug and play - it works
I installed this PCI-e card to my W11 PC on one of the open PCI-e slots, it works. With no issue, I bought it to read my fast CFExpress type B card for my Nikon camera.

Works flawlessly
I have a custom built PC but it didn't come with any USB-C ports on the motherboard... Since most devices today are starting to come standard with USB-C cables and connectors I decided to get this card. Install was easy, my system booted up and immediately recognized the new card and installed the needed drivers. I've had this card installed for a couple of weeks and haven't had any issues.

Plug & Play but Fails with heavy data loads
I've had this for about 10 months now. Has been working well for the most part with a mac based system in a Sonnet thunderbolt 3 PCIe enclosure. Recently however, it has let me down under heavier use...The Setup...Full spec M1MBP >Thunderbolt3> Sonnet PCIE enclosure > this card (PCIe Gen3 x2 USB 3.2 / 3.1 Card ASM3142) >• (bus 1) USB 3.2 Yotamaster enclosure with 58TB RAID5 SoftRaid array (destination drive)• (bus 2) USB 3.2 SABRENT (source drives)Transfers would start out fine for a while and at expected speeds (limited here by HDD performance) but after a few hundred GB or a couple TB, slow down and stop. no error messages, but finder crash and eventual kernel panic. Worse when attempting simultaneous transfers, but happened every time. At first I thought it was an issue with my SoftRaid drivers, but since connecting the enclosures directly to my computer (bypassing this product) I've had no issues. The issue also doesn't seem related to the sonet enclosure, as an SSD Raid card in the same enclosure has been performing reliably.Pros:The above reliability issue notwithstanding, this is a fantastic product...- fairly priced- dual 10Gbps busses- plug & play Mac OS compatibility- works in thunderbolt enclosureCons:- seems to fail under heavy I/O loads- some users have noted under spec voltage for ports (though not an issue in my us-case)- which ports connect to which bus is not clearly labeled on the card (though there is a product image that addresses this)

Not recognized, sketchy drivers
Physical installation was easy - just plug it in to an available PCIe slot. Windows 10 did not recognize it out of the box so I tried to use the provided CD - unfortunately who has a CD drive these days? However, the CD did at least have a URL printed on it to obtain the drivers but that website looks really sketchy and you're required to know which exact model you have since the drivers are all listed separately - why the driver setup cant do this for you I dont know. Once you've figured out the model and downloaded the drivers (super slow download), then you can install, and nothing happens. Reboot, nothing happens - the card isn't recognized. Its powered up since its powering attached USB-C Gen 3 SSDs (their lights are on), but there are no drives showing up, and the card doesn't appear in windows device manager. Its already in the trash can. Avoid this and all similar cards on Amazon - get a name brand card as they're not much more expensive - you might at least get Windows to auto-recognize the card and/or have WHQL drivers.

Does not provide 15watts per port
I purchased this exclusively because it mentioned it supported 15w charging per port (at 5 volts, that's 3 amps), and it's not even reaching 10w.If charging isn't a concern of yours, then it's great to add 4 USB C ports. Otherwise find something else.

Unable to find drivers after misplacing instructions
After installing drivers, works great. Unfortunately had to factory reset computer, and had misplaced instructions for driver download link. Now I can't find the drivers anywhere. Maybe someone can provide it in the customer review.
