Update: No USB provided. There is some type of patch cord, but no place to lpug it in to either sign or any device. I tried scanning the qr code in the inst manual and it took me to a page as shown in the manual, however, the site said something about 'lottery'. I backed out of that. Then I checked the qr web code with the printed link. The two address were the same at first and the last part was completely different, however this one was correct.I was able to download 'a file' however, my phone/firefox locked opening the downloaded field due to the file not being secured. I have to choose to change the settings to allow a non secure file to be run or to not use the file. At this point I just stopped the process.Reading the manual, fairly good to read - with a lot of syntax problems which it makes it difficult to proceed down a clear path. There is a second file which needs to be downloaded to program and drive the sign. Two programs, not secured, 1 the establish connection and 2 the software to generate messages and display those messages. At this point I am not sure if the usage software resides on the local device or in the cloud. For me another problem.Lets move onto the sign itself. It was packed well. One problem is there is a hanger device laying in the bottom of the bubble wrap. Not sure and not info as to if that is a spare or if it should have been in the top of the sign.The sign hangers are plastic and two installed, one extra. As the hangers are a plastic and I am probably going to install so there are three hangers. The sign seems to be well built and a nice design. The sign itself is tall and wide and I really like it. 4 or 5 stars for the build at this point. To be more detailed I need to work with the software and hardware together.Getting scammed or having malware on the computer/phone/tablet is just sure hell. It's happened to me before even tough I have very, or what is supposed to be very good, virus, malware and firewall protection.I just don't like the idea of potentially introducing problems into the system or my network. Hence the 1 star review. I am going to wait for a sort time and check into the software again an if it can be secured or hopefully an app via the ap stores I will re-do this review.For now I an not going to proceed any further. This 40"x8" P10 LED sign is remarkably easy to use. There's two different ways that you can connect to the sign in order to customize the message and visual display:1. via smartphone app. (not in the app store = skeeetch)2. via WiFi and your PC (sorry Macs, you're SOL)The sign comes with a USB drive that includes the manual and a link to download the software. I don't understand why they didn't just include the software on the USB drive though. Instead you're taken to an unsecured website in Chinese from which you then download the software. Not exactly not sketch, but that's up to and your gods to contend with.Anyway, the software is pretty easy to use, surprisingly. You have a range of options to program different text and animations. Connecting to the sign via WiFi is easy - just connect to the sign's WiFi network and the software recognizes the sign and allows you to upload the programs from there.There's a wide range of animations, text, colors, backgrounds, and borders already loaded, and you can upload your own as well.The one thing that I don't care for is how choppy the animations are. The transitions are anything but smooth. I tried fiddling with the settings but they didn't do anything to address how choppy all of the animations looked. I'm guessing its a power restriction that throttles how much power can be drawn at a time, resulting in a flashing effect instead of a smooth transition between animations and colors.But text scrolls fine, and the sign overall looks crisp and professional. Its bright, but may not be bright enough to attract much attention when its hung behind a window.Build quality feels solid, and there's some metal tabs pre-installed to facilitate hanging the sign for display. This particular sign is meant for indoor use.Overall, not bad. Super easy to use which is nice. But the software is sketch, and the app doesn't exist in the app store. These things don't sit well with me... But otherwise its great!

I have already reviewed this item twice. This will be my last and final time reviewing this item. I am not a fan of this product. It doesnt really come with any instructions and you have to download an app to use it which is kind of expected with the way that technology is going these days. But the cord is short, so you cant really put it anwhere high unless you have a specific plug made high enough to plug it up..which most people dont. I just feel like they didnt take that into consideration when making the product and that could hurt them in the long run; unless they plan to only sell to businesses. 2 out of 5 for me.

CX P10 LED Sign 40" x 8" Indoor Scrolling LED Signs Full Color High Brightness Programmable: So I am in the middle of the road in regards to a review of this sign. This is so because even when this is a very bright and good looking sign, it requires for the user to download a software or app to be able to program it an this fact is not mentioned in the main title description of the item. I have tech help from someone that can verify the quality or any issues with the software but that is certainly not everyone's case and that is something that should be taken into account. If that issues can be passed and the sign is able to be programmed, it its definitely a solid sign with great lights that is very versatile and can have many uses depending on one's needs.
