ClutchMaxPRO Clutch Release Bearing & Snout Repair Sleeve Kit Compatible with 2005-2017 Subaru Forester Impreza WRX Legacy GT Spec-B Outback 2006 Saab 9-2X EJ255 (CPRB844SK)

Been fighting with the clutch release bearing on a 2017 WRX. This is the 4th bearing we have tried, and this is the correct part!!! The release bearings in 3 clutch kits fitted for this car did not work. It needs to be oversized with the repair sleeve, and that is what this part is. I ordered extras to have on hand.

Trying to find this bearing was very difficult. But not for Amazon and the seller. Fits the vehicle and now we have completed the repairs and can get it back to the owner.

I bought this in case my car had the dreaded input shade snout damage. Mine did, but not bad, and went about fitting thus. Initially, I bench tested it and didn't like how rough it felt. I also didn't like how thin the bearing was (just a part of using such a kit). I fitted the sleeve on the trans no problem. Went to fit the bearing on the fork, and it was too tight. IF THE BEARING DOESN’T EASILY SLIDE AND ROTATE ON THE FORK, IT'S A PROBLEM!! I must stress that. So I attempted to barely bend the retention tab, and they broke off. I tested my original throw out bearing for tab bendability, and it would bend without breaking. I then just sanded smooth a small groove on the snout, and applied light grease to the surface and used the Exedy kit bearing without problems.Secondly, if you do decide to still get this kit, do yourself a favor and also sand the sleeve smooth!! It is so roughly cut that the bearing won't easily slide on it.

I elected to not use this, but a higher cost alternative because it had a sloppy fit.

The price is 1/4 the cost. But there's no notes that you can't use your factory clutch fork

It fit like aglove and repaired the damaged parts
