Time consuming to steal looks useful
I bought this with my eyes closed as it is a third of the cost of my bike. It being a little expensive I was afraid it would be 'steal-able'. While there is no real way to make it impossible to steal, i was very satisfied that due to the effort it takes to remove the rack is not easy to quickly steal during a short period chained to a bike rack. The storage rack comes secured/unsecured via 4 small allen/hex keys with a velcro strap. You do have to be careful not to strip these yourself while you are installing it. You can also purchase metal zip ties that can make it even more difficult. The process of attaching the rack is tedious but every difficulty you have is one that a thief would too although I understand this would not be a problem for those that do not live in a city.I haven't yet used the rack so i cannot speak to its actual use. One thing I will say is that it is only rated for 20lbs. The rack looks good is removable with time and is difficult to steal while being compatible with Topeak's other bags. Aside from possibly a lower price, it is all one could ask for IMO. I gave it four stars for appearing to be of high quality.

Great fit for carbon bikes!
If you have a carbon bicycle like i do this is a must! You dont need to worry about damaging your frame with the way it straps down. At first glance it is a bit confusing to get the know how of how to put it on if your not familiar with bicycle bag mounts like i was but i looked up a video on youtube to get it perfectly strapped and once i did it was like "OH!" and it just clicks on how it should be done properly for the most secure fit, i havnt had it slip on me at all or move in any way and if something happened to it i would buy another instantly, i use it all the time and never take it off! The rack itself is extreamly light and the only weight you will notice is when you put a bag on it.

Did not fit as described
I did extensive research on finding a rack that would work for my bike. The desciption and details all aligned with my bike, but it did not fit. I had to return.

Fits my bike perfectly
I like that it attaches to my bike that doesn't have eyelets for regular racks. I use it for bike touring.

Excellent rack to make the best of a difficult situation
I bought this one used because the savings was significant. It was pretty scuffed up... at first I was really disappointed because it was listed "like new" and wasn't even close. But on second thought, it just "saved me the trouble" if you know what I mean. This is a rear rack designed with the soft tail bike in mind. I bought a VIVI electric folding mountain bike (not sure it will fold well with the rack on it but I haven't tried) and wanted a rear rack. Seat post racks I rather hate. This one does the job quite well. I liked it so much I bought a Topeak bag as well to go with it and it is VERY convenient. It now replaces my lunch back when I go to work. Highly recommended if you ride a bike to work for any reason.

Did not fit my mountain bike
was not wide enough for my basic trek 3500 mountain bike tire. I was VERY disappointed. Topeak is my usual go to but now I don't know what I am going - disappointed.

Quick Connect Rack
I bought this specifically for the “quick connect” aspect of it. Since I only do occasional trips that require my panniers, I didn’t want a rack that stayed full time. And I also didn’t want to keep using the screw holes in my frame (less wear and tear) for continual adding and removing a rack. This rack does take quite some initial adjustments to get it set to your bike. But once it’s set, it’s simply strap and go.

this is really an expensive rack but it is sturdy and well made
I really balk at the price of this item , but it is the only available rack that mounts to the bike securely . I bought this because I have the topeak bag that slides into this rack . It is mounted on a suspension mountain bike . in the instruction it says that you cannot mount it on rear forks less than 47 degrees . well I threw that out the window and have it mounted on a more progressive slant . the mounting system is ingenious and well made and fits to the bike studierly . when done my rack has a slight downward angle towards the seat post . not really a problem and the topeak bag fits well and i have not had it come off . just make sure the clip on the from of the bag is fully engaged and you are set to go. again very pricy but it worked out very well for me.
