Solid Controller -
This little guy works well. is stable and does what it is supposed to. had it long enough now to be able to rely on it. (about a month) the only "complaint" I would have is that it doesn't run off of POE. but in the location that it is in that is not a problem for us. overall it appears to be a little easier and smoother to operate then some other units I've used before. Was used with a NDI - Onvif control camera.

Generic interface, low quality
Out of the box, all I received was the controller and it's power supply. There's no manual and very little internet info specific to this model. Luckily, the interface is generic and other hsility videos offer enough guidance to get it set up.It will not work on PoE.The build quality was meh, squishy buttons that aren't backlit and the joystick throttles pan and tilt speeds seemingly at random. Then there's the reason I'm returning it: it gets stuck on a random action and crashes, becoming unresponsive, and always when zooming in. The only solution is to cycle the power. Not exactly an awesome issue to have during a live stream.Maybe it was just my unit, but the other issues stacked up to me not wanting an exchange. I'll use the web based controls for my IP cameras instead.UPDATE:Turns out my gigabit switch was set to throttle the Ethernet to 10mbps. This meant that, with only one PTZ cam and the controller trying to communicate while the camera was streaming, the network was maxed and created instruction hangs.Stupid me, I didn't figure this out until I tried adding another two cameras. Once I flipped that switch on the router, the network switched to 100mbps, which was plenty of bandwidth for three cameras. Then I decided to try the controller again and it worked! The joystick is 4D, so it'll pan and tilt at the same time when held at a diagonal position. The speed of movement depends on how far you're pushing or twisting the stick. I have yet to dig in to preset cam positions and functions.

OK but not Pro
This controller works OK (not great) until it doesn't.Speed controls are pretty much useless as they aren't adjustable.Iris controls are trash.Focus control works OK.PTZ speed is too fast at slowest setting, and there is no way to ramp the speed up to make a natural looking shot. All of the sudden, the controller will freeze mid-adjustment and my camera wont stop moving, rendering this controller useless.

Extremely easy to install with minimal knowledge!
From the minute I unpacked the controller I was very pleased with looks and feel. I installed and controlled three cameras in under 5 minutes. The pan, tilt, and zoom comes with 3 speeds that is very smooth. I found that every aspect of integration was simple and intuitive! Thanks!

Small footprint, works well for IP control.
The A3 PTZ controller works well for control of IP based camera.I have installed it for a small church. Note that we have used it for multiple events and it has worked fine. It is used with an AVIPAS AV-1280 PTZ camera with ethernet control. We also have used the Leftek S3 controller which is a little more expensive. The S3 has a has a larger foot print. This A3 unit fit better in the small desk we use for video control (see photo). The A3 has a simple, easy to read display. The pan/tilt and zoom controls are fairly smooth. The speed controls are somewhat limited in range, so it is not really "broadcast quality" movement, but you are getting it at much lower cost. If you realize that you are getting a relatively inexpensive unit who's original purpose is to control security cameras, then you should be happy with the purchase. Note you will need to download the manual (a QR code comes with the unit to take you to the download).A few comparison notes to the S3-The buttons basically have a good feel, but the buttons on the other S3 unit were a bit firmer. The A3 is not POE, so it first require a power supply (the S3 was POE), but that is not a problem as we have outlets easily available. Our church could not afford an expensive camera and controller and this let us have good controller and stay within the budget.TLeftek has an active Facebook group where you can get support as well. Search for "Leftek Tech Support Group".

Great Keyboard for intended purpose!
If you’re looking for a keyboard controller that will work with a hardwired internet connection this is it! Camera moves smoothly and controller can be programmed easily for presets etc. Just make sure you’re gonna use it on a hardwired internet connection because it only works on that. It doesn’t have a plethora of connections like some others do. 😀
