Great mouse, highly recommend - occasionally wish it had bluetooth.
I think this is the best mouse that I own and I own a good number of them. I own a logitech g305 (the budget superlight) as well as the razer orochi v2 (competitor to that logitech), and one thing that I would have never noticed without buying this X Shroud mouse is the weight of those other mice. When I go back to the g305 from the xshroud, the g305 feels so much heavier and I dont like it. I feel like my reactions and movements are slow and heavy.I also like the internal rechargeable battery. I had a little bit of concern at first that it wouldn't be as convenient as being able to just throw any battery in there at a moments notice. But it's actually more convenient to have it be able to just be plugged in. Even iphones these days use usbc. So any usbc cord can be plugged in and you can use it while plugged in if you really had to. I got this March 3 and it's April 18 -- I just got the first red battery warning light today. So one charge lasts about a month and a half. And in that month I've gamed on it and worked on it - used it as my primary and only mouse for that entire time basically. So I would say it's got excellent battery life. The buttons are also great. It's another thing that I never had an issue with the button clicks on the G305, until I got this mouse and went back. Comparatively, I was playing fornite and use those side buttons for building -- after playing on the X Shroud for a couple weeks, the G305 side buttons felt super spongey and I was missing inputs in high stress situtations. The only reason I switched was that long gaming sessions were starting to give my hand just a little bit of fatigue/acheyness. The minimally larger size of this X Shroud has solved that. It jsut fills in that thumb to pinky width/space a little bit more and I think that personally fits my hand better. So that was good too.The only thing I would say could be better about this mouse is if they had built in bluetooth function. Having to always utilize the dongle for connection is not as convenient. If you're using this thing to go to work or travel there's bound to be a time you take the mouse and forget the dongle. And then you're out of luck for the duration of the trip. When you're not gaming you dont need dongle speed and it'd be nice to have the option/fail safe of using bluetooth connection.

Unexpected end-game
I have to say, this was the most "screw it, why not" purchase I've ever made. In the past year, I've been demoing tons of mice in an attempt to replace my beloved G403. My journey has taken me through: Razer Deathadder V2 Mini, Cooler Master MM711, HyperX Pulsefire Haste, Corsair Sabre RGB Pro, Razer Viper 8k, Razer Naga X Wired, Razer Basilisk V2, Mountain Makalu 67, Logitech GPX Superlight, and the Deathadder V3 Wired. All of them failed to increase both comfort and performance. I kept the MM711 because, despite its serious qc issues and awful sensor position, it was only $20 and is a great shape (I just use it at work now). The GPX felt like too safe a shape, like it was somehow even larger than the 403 and I couldn't get a good/consistent grip on it. The Viper 8k and Haste were seriously impressive gear by every metric, but both were just too flat and narrow to be comfortable. The Makalu 67 ended up being what I settled on for a few months, I see it as a direct 403/703 upgrade to lean more towards palm grip. But while it's by far the most comfortable mouse I've tried and has a great weight, my tracking with such a loose palm grip was glaringly affected negatively in a way that didn't become apparent until some DMZ/Warzone/Overwatch games. So, despite disliking ambidextrous shapes, I took a chance on the 303 since I just happened to have prime for the month. My grip with my previous Deathadder Chroma and G403 had always been a bit of a claw-palm hybrid, such was the nature of trying to strike a balance between comfort and control. Both were excellent, but never quite *perfect.* I never really knew what to do with my pinky and ring finger on either. But then the 303 came in and immediately contoured my hand into a full claw grip. I couldn't believe it, but this crazy looking shape that doesn't look made for humans fit like a glove. The weight was also perfect too. Unlike most people now, I think the sweet spot mouse weight is around 65-80 grams. It strikes a nice balance between maintaining fine tuning accuracy while still being able to do wide-arc quick flicks (and much to people's chagrin, shroud seems to agree given that this weight was specifically chosen- most of the Viper models are also this weight). I do think this shape is a bit too aggressive for general use, so I would recommend having something like an MX Master for those purposes if you need it. But anyone with medium-large hands looking for a good claw grip mouse should give this one a shot.

If you loved the G302 or old G303 - you MIGHT love this far more still, I do
So to get this outta the way, I have long fingers and do claw grip. I used to used the G302 and the OG G303 as well, I always loved the diamond shape. The shape is VERY close to the G303 Daedalus, but for me, improved in may areas! It has a taller rear for more palm control when gripping, and the overall shape feels like the mouse was MADE for my hands!Ever since my G303 Daedalus died, I got a G305 and I fell in love with Logitech lightspeed - having no cord friction is amazing. I got used to the VERY generalized shape of the G305, and my grip on it is more than satisfactory. When i first tried the G303 Shroud, I felt like it was too light and at first, it didnt feel quite "right" in my hand - but after like 5 mins of playing I fell into it and now when I try the G305 I am amazed how well the G303 Shroud fits my hand and preferred grip. Also now even the G305 feels too heavy to me lol. So yeah if u never had an ultralight mouse the lack of weight might take you off guard and make you feel like the mouse is too twitchy, but for we - the improved control with my grip is incredibly noticeable, I swear I am more accurate now than everI am really happy Logitech eventually thought to bring back the G303 - and I hope they keep producing it in however small quantities. Also I don't know how much Shroud is the reason for this mouse, but thanks Shroud for having my hands!
