HUGE improvement over my old player!
BluRay players are NOT all alike. My old one would randomly decide it didn't like certain disks, or take forever to load, or stop playing the disk if there was a particle of dust within 10' of it. I have had absolutely zero problems with this one. Every single disk has worked, I don't even have to meticulously sterilize the disk in a clean room before inserting it anymore. It loads the video so fast, BB-8 has a hard time keeping up. I had to change the region once, and the directions were easy to follow and worked without a hitch. This one is in my theater, run by a Logitech Harmony hub, and it's been absolutely flawless. Zero complaints.

Great little unit!
I've had this now for about a month and a half. It was amazingly easy to set up; one cord (included) into an HDMI input on the TV and you're done (you do have to plug in the power!). Didn't need any instructions, it just worked perfectly out of the box. Picture quality and sound are great. And it's SMALL. Takes up no space. We use it several times a week for movies and it works flawlessly. I would definitely buy this again!

It works (not anymore)
I had another player that quit playing Blu-Ray discs. This one is playing both Blu-Ray and DVD fine. The remote works with my LG television as well.In late November or early December it quit playing Blu-Ray discs. I had purchased a protection plan. It spent three week traveling to New York state, being repaired, and traveling back. I hooked everything up only to have the disk tray not be able to come out. I'm not sure how much is LG and how much is Asurion on the protection plan, but here goes at least another three weeks without my player. Thanks for nothing.

In a world with less Zone A BRs
Just by browsing some of the bluray titles I want to get, it seems clear that it's getting harder and harder each day to get a physical release of media in a playable format for the Americas, so it seems imperative to be able to get a player that is able to reproduce blurays and DVDs (which used to be a norm in Latin America) in other regions, as distributors and rights holders seem adamant in keeping content locked by silly regions.Though taxes for electronics seem high (check your local imports tax code), this LG BR player was a necessary purchase. It came with easy to follow instructions on how to change BR zones, and the DVDs play from all regions without change just like how Region-Free DVD players used to work.

Good buy
Works fine and good picture quality. Made an annoying buzzing sound until a heavy ashtray was put on top.

Now I'm able to play those CD that were taking up space in the cabinet. Love it!

Worked and now it doesn’t...
I’ve had this for less than a year, used it maybe a dozen times and now no DVD will play in it. I get the cute little spinning DVD icon and the a caution sign and then it tries to eject the disc but is unsuccessful. In theory, this should be very simple to work, it only has two buttons. You put the disc in, the press play, it should work? Right? Not so much anymore. I have to turn the power off, press the eject button in order to get the DVD out. I can’t just press the eject button. I’m not able to get to the DVD menus DVDs just don’t play You put the disc in, the press play, it should work? Right? Not so much anymore. I have to turn the power off, press the eject button in order to get the DVD out. I can’t just press the eject button. I’m not able to get to the DVD menus DVDs just don’t play anymore. This was expensive for what you get, the appeal was the ability to play many regions.

BUY THIS PLAYER!
After trying several other brands of blu ray players I discovered that apparently the new thing is for players that will only play DVD (and sometimes blu ray) disc that are made in the USA. While that is a wonderful aspiration, as we all know, everything and it's brother is manufactured in China and since I have number of older DVDs it was quite aggravating to find a player that actually worked. Well I finally did and it works great! Very easy to connect and small enough that if you want to carry it with you when traveling it fits in a computer bag with ease. If you are looking for a blu ray player, I say buy this one!!!
