Reliable and Sturdy Grow Bags!
My usual supplier was behind on restocking grow bags, so I recently decided to try something different - I saw the Sojourner grow bags and decided to give it a go for my gourmet mushroom growing, and I have to say, I'm beyond impressed with their performance. These bags have exceeded all my expectations and are now my go-to choice for mushroom cultivation. The first thing that caught my attention was the 6 mil thickness of the bags. It's thick enough to withstand use in my pressure cooker without tearing or leaking, yet still flexible enough to allow for easy handling and manipulation. I've used other bags in the past that simply couldn't handle the pressure and would give me a few fails, so I'm thrilled to have found a product that can.Another feature that I love about these bags is the 0.2-micron filter, which is perfect for my needs. It provides ample air exchange for my mushrooms to grow and thrive, while also keeping out unwanted contaminants. I've had zero issues with contamination since using these bags, which is a testament to their quality and effectiveness.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the Sojourner grow bags, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient way to grow gourmet mushrooms at home. These bags are made from high-quality materials, and they're incredibly easy to use. If you're tired of dealing with flimsy bags or bags that can't handle heat and pressure, but without breaking the bank, then give Sojourner grow bags a try. You won't be disappointed!

I'll be back
I grow gourmet mushrooms. This is great for the bag tek. The size the thickness the sturdiness and functionality is the best part.

These are 3 mil thick, not 6.
Maybe the larger ones are 6 mil, but the small ones are 3 mil thick. I took the first four from the pack filled them with 5 lbs oak sawdust, cooked them @ 15psi for 4 hrs, and they worked great. No tearing, the vent patch is good, they worked like they should.

New thickness, turn your heat settings up to seal.
I’ve be using these bags for a while now, I would have given 5 stars, but they recently changed the bag thickness, making it much more difficult to seal, and causing me to turn up the heat on my sealer almost to max heat. Happy to change my review, if they go back to their old thickness. I’d still recommend them, but the not sealing is an issue that wasn’t present before.- edit: I like the new thickness just took me a second to get it sorted!

Worst grain spawn bag I’ve ever used
I made up about 50 grain bags, pressure cooked them just like I have done hundreds of times, and every single one was weakened or blown out and I ended up transferring in front of my flowhood all 25 bags I cooked into fresh bags which was super wasteful and I’m not sure if the fresh bags will withstand colonization and breaking up the grain. Then the remaining 25 bags I transferred into thicker unicorn bags and am returning these before they waste more of my time. We’re talking hours of time was wasted dealing with these. I accidentally poked the bags (new not autoclaved) with my fingertips when I was spreading out my lc after noccing them, and probably about 5 bags have a thin spot now where the plastic could easily rupture. Just make sure it wasn’t my technique I did a round of pressure cooking right after with unicorn bags and had zero issues. By far the cheapest worst bag I have ever used for grain spawn, I am returning and asking for all my money back. I invested 4x (if not more) as much money in the product going in the bags as I did the bags themselves, and now there’s a good chance I’m going to lose even more product over the next few weeks because of this. Thick bags, high quality air filters are the only way to go. Why does amazon even carry this garbage?

Fair price for good quality products
Probably the price, but everything has gone up, but I used it for mushrooms and that’s what I needed it for

They do their job
I was hesitant about trying to make my own bags but have seen nothing but success since using these here. The key is to NOT keep adding water or FAE - once fruiting, you can follow the hoodie-tek . So grateful to have tried !
