Q: Is this material safe for the hens?

I am sure it is safe, but my hens do not like it. The material is very stiff. I know if I was a hen I would not want it. I have not had any eggs in the nests with this product.

Q: Will these pads work with roll out nest boxes?

I don't know what roll out nest boxes look like but we use them in 5 gallon buckets that are screwed to the wall of our coop. I love them. No bedding needed.
