Hours and Hours of fun!
We really love our retropie! There are so many good games that come standard it would take years to play them all. The emulator works extremely well for almost all of the games I tried, with the exception of some of the newer japanese arcade games included, but the PS1 and American release games work amazing!

Amazing Retro Emulator!
When I first played this I was impressed, it was better than any other retro emulator I've played. But I noticed there were only a few PS1 games. So I emailed Leo and wow he did not let me down. He sent me the Batocera card for free, and it's night and day how much better it is! Amazing interface that shows a preview for most games. The graphics are also way better! And so many games, it will take me a while just to go through them all to save my favorites. About the only complaint I have about this device is that it's causing tension between me and my wife for not spending enough time with her haha! Thank you Leo. It may not be cheap but you if want the best retro emulator, this is it!

Worked for a second...
So it worked right off the bat. But then somehow I managed to click on configure gamepad, which has 3 different ways to setup "up" as and the such, which left me with an unconfigured controller. Like two buttons on it work. And I can't find any support for something others well may have done themselves. Building EMU with a controller on your current machine is easy and free. Why waste 300 to be told that because you accidently clicked on some "feature". Doesn't make sense. Just do it yourself.

Fun
This was very easy to install. The controllers work good and the amount of games is amazing. The operating system is pretty much bug free and the games run smoothly.

Freezes after every reboot
Edit: I'm changing my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. The seller tried to help when we had a problem by sending me a new memory card with even more games on it. I created an image of the new microSD card in case I had the same issue with the new card. Unfortunately, I did. Every single time I turn this thing off, or even if I reboot it from the menus, the next time it tries to start, it freezes when the "retro machine collections" progress bar fills up. If I restore the microSD card from the image that I created when the seller sent me the new card, it works for exactly one boot. It takes 2 hours to do that, though, so its very inconvenient. I end up just leaving it on constantly, but if there's a power outage or something gets unplugged for whatever reason, it's basically ruined and we lose all our progress on all games. Super crappy, especially considering how much this thing costs. It is a lot of games and they are a lot of fun for my whole family to play, but the inconvenience of having to restore the sd card every time I want to boot makes me regret this purchase. It would be a 1-star review if the seller hadn't tried to fix things by sending another microSD card with extra games on it. He tried... I'm not really sure what the problem is. I tried googling the issue and couldn't find anything and I don't see other reviewers on here having the same issue and it happened with two totally different builds from the seller, so all I can figure is there's some kind of hardware issue with the raspberry pi that I was given that is causing it to corrupt files on the microSD card? Anyway, based on the other reviews, you're probably OK with this purchase if you have the money for it. Its a lot of money for something you can build yourself. I have more money than time, so I just bought it.Old review:We're very happy and got a ton of games -- more than I'll ever be able to play. The system stopped working and the seller sent me a replacement part quickly with an upgrade, which was greatly appreciated.
