My first CNC Machine
I always wanted to purchase one and I've been looking for one for a long time, 3 years. Looked into a lot of different models and brand, I wanted one to get the most bang for my bucks! I wanted a simple CNC to learn from so I can learn, make mistakes and upgrade later to a bigger and better one. It was easy to assemble, just need to take your time and not rush it or you'll be taking things apart and re-doing it. The software was a little challenging to understand and download, it came with a memory stick but I couldn't download it onto my computer, so I went online to look for more instructions. After getting all the software onto my computer it was pretty straight forward from there. I took my time reading and watching more videos to get the hang of it and learn more. I would recommend this machine to anyone that wants to start learning how to CNC because the price is reasonable and it can cut a variety of materials. I also bought a faster spindle than the one it came with so I can cut harder materials, we'll see how that goes. Happy CNC!!!

Not even close to worth your time
I just dont understand. 3D printers are better, cheaper, and easier to setup than this junk.First, the instructions are just crazy. No instructions on wiring, axis set up.....and the software???? Forgot it. WAY TOO COMPLICATED.I was going to shoot myself putting this thing together it was so bad.The offline screen is a joke. Stopped working literally 30 seconds in. Then from the mother board I started to smell smoke and unplugged it right away. Stay away from this thing. HORRIBLE

Was surprised what you can do with it.
First time user and buyer of this machine. Fast shipping and well packed. First impression WOW. Like the golden color. Partially pre- built which help a lot. Just look at the pictures to finish. Wiring diagram good enough, no need for instruction. Just good reading glasses . Powerswitch on PC board puny and recessed and hidden . Will modifiy it later mechanically. I Like the additional end of track switches and emergency switch. My biggest complain, not mechanically related. Software won't work on my Chrome book. Which has a operating system derived from Linux. I wonder if the Ubuntu software will work which is also Linux design.May have to buy the Walmart Lenovo windows laptop to be fully dedicated to the CNC.Tested all mechanical functions except software with the remote control. Works flawless. Has been watching zillions of You tube to get an idea of the design and control software. My original idea is just make name plates but was excited that you can do the other things, like kind of sculpting in wood and etching in aluminum and also installing a laser head and what you can do with it. Happy with the purchase.

Nothing but a problem with no help from Vivor customer assistance.
The assembly instructions are a bit cryptic, but if you have assembled other machines like lasers or 3D printers you will figure it out.The Candle software that it comes with is next to useless and comes with no instructions whatsoever. Worse yet, it doesn't come with any software to create the necessary gcodes to make the machine work. After I finally got it assebled, while I was calibrating it I realized that one of the Z axis limit switches was defective. I contacted Amazon, but they told me it was a warranty issue and I had to contact Vivor and gave me a phone number to call. The woman who I spoke to was very friendly. She actually suggested that I exchange the machine with Amazon as it would be much faster than getting a replacement part from Vivor. As it was a part that probably cost $1.00 or less, I thought it would be very wasteful to return the whole machine so she forwarded my issue to Vivor. They twice recommended that I just buy the part. First they recommended that I do it locally, then they told me to buy it online. I wish it were that simple. After much time searching in frustration, I could not find a direct replacement. I told Vivor as much, then they asked me to re-verify my purchase by sending them a screenshot of it, which I did.I haven't heard back from them for 9 days, so I guess I have to return the whole machine. What a waste.
