This system is just perfect for electronics storage (way better than the modular boxes specifically made for smd storage) The "tiny" size is perfect for all my SMDs, LEDs, and pretty much all the ICs (with ESD Foam) until you get into really big/long ones (talking 40pin). 2pin through hole resistors fit in the largest size of this kit without bending, but you can only fit 3 large containers per row in the lidded tray so I don't really consider this a very good solution for storing many of those unless you only use a few specific sizes or w/e anyway.) I was a jewelry designer for 10 years and I /wish/ this had existed back then, 1000 times better than those standard divided boxes that always mixed up your beads and findings when the cat knocked it off the desk, or worse the findings would slide under the divider tabs - split rings and seed-bead dividers/spacers drove me absolutely nuts, I ended up having to put them all in little bags, which defeated half the purpose of getting the box in the first place >.< This system would have saved me ages and ages of time opening and closing baggies for sure. Don't quote me as I retired from jewelry making like 10 years ago, but the "tiny" size looks great for seed beads, I think you could probably fit about a 5" tube of Japanese delica's in each. The large size would be good for pony's, for bi-cone crystals the "small" looks to be a good size. I figure the "medium" would be good for hook ear-wires. (3/16/2016 - Update with new pictures! I now have this mixed 45 piece set as well as the 80-some piece tiny set and I've just ordered an empty tray + an assortment of small and large boxes to go in it, as well as the deep tool storage tray. These things are /that/ awesome for my needs. Pictures: 1. The two kits I've received so far with all my little component bits in them (still organizing them, but this is probably the majority of the electronic components.) 2. You can mix and match sizes, put small's in with tiny's etc., it's fully customizable! 3. Close up with the lid on - it's a fairly tight lid, might be room for like 10 sheets of paper between the boxes and the lid so no worries about the individual boxes shifting around and such. Also the lid is quite clear, makes it very easy to see what bits you want.) Note - these are not the labels that come with the kit, those go on the lids, these are just taped on strips of paper (4 point Arial in word fyi) 4. The tiny (left) and small (right) box sizes. 5. Awesome. (They'd be great for flat findings and maybe ear wires, but not for beads - see my review on them.)

This bead box is fantastic. The compartments are the perfect size for beads, the beads are easy to see within each little bead box and they have labels for the top of each bead box. Good quality. Highly recommend.

I thought long and hard on this issue of bead storage. Years ago I had put lots of $$$ into another available bead storage system only to find it very troublesome. They were those stacking round clear plastic screw-on stackable bead containers, but every time you’d go to get beads out, the screw tops would fail and all your beads would be scattered far and wide across the floor. It was frustrating. It was a waste. And if you had invested lots of $$$ into that system like I had, you’d be as livid as I was about that said bead organizing system. I can’t tell you how many times those problems occurred even when being cautious, and so by the end of a few years what I had was just mixed beads in various containers instead of beads neatly sorted and organized. I had also lost a great majority of my beads because of their faulty system... lots of beads now most likely hidden in the deepest recesses and corners of the room. $$$, down the drain..Er, ...down the ducts and forever stuck between floorboards. I never wanted to make that mistake again. So when it came to finding a replacement system, it took me years to decide. I searched around the internet. I found and went with these. I can tell you, they aren’t perfect, but it’s the best out there. My only concerns are that the lids will most likely break over time and the other issue being it’s hard to find the right sized container for different sized collections of beads. Doubling up on one sized container for one specific bead type will have to do when they all won’t fit into one container... but that’s 1st world problems, and nothing to really gripe about. Having an organized system with beads greatly helps with the creative process. I love how I can sort and stack these according to color size and type. It makes it easy to find the beads you want and also lets you know if you are low on bead quantities. Each container is separate, so there is no fearing upsetting other bead containments like with other systems. If you want to go to another place or room with just a few specific beads, you can quickly grab the ones you want and go.....and without worry of spilling. (If you do, it’s you’re fault for not shutting the lid!) All these factors make for a great investment. One last note I wanted to share: You don’t have to store them in the trays, though they are helpful. I found I needed something different, and so I arranged all the beads containers in a large pull out drawer. That way, they are kept in one place and can be seen easily instead of stacking them in the trays and having to move each tray to see all the beads. Also, if someone desired, a wall unit could be made to hold a great many of these containers if one wished to display them in such a way. Such a contraption wouldn’t be difficult to make and could provide a nice organized visual for efficient beading. Lastly, thankfully the Elizabeth Ward beading system sells the containers separately without the trays and I ended up purchasing more of those to finish organizing my beads. ...another great plus! So, I am very happy with finding this product and very pleased with the versatility and efficiency this bead organization system provides. No more approaching my beads with fear of spilling, no more messes to clean up and spending hours to try to resort, no more lost beads and investment. Oh, and as far as affordability... I didn’t do actual crunching of numbers, but round about, this system actually cost me a bit less or same as the other bead storage system I spoke about in my first paragraph. So THANK YOU Elizabeth Ward company. You have made serious crafting so much better.

After getting into bedazzling, I quickly realized I need a good way to organize all the rhinestones that I was collecting. This storage tray is perfect for organizing massive amounts of rhinestones. Each container opens easily and closes securely, and it a nice way to separate colors and types of rhinestones.

I have been buying a lot of seed beads lately (too many, really). I don't like to keep them in my normal bead storage containers ("Darice 1157-11 No Spill Organizer 13.7-Inch-by-8.6-Inch-by-1.37-Inch" on Amazon) because those, if dropped, will spill beads everywhere. Plus, tiny beads (e.g., size 15/0) can migrate between containers if they are tipped even a little (depending on compartment fullness). So, I reserve those for larger beads but that still leaves the problem of what to do with seed beads. I was really needing a solution for storing all the different seed beads I've purchased in the last year (well, OK, over the last two decades, as my old storage solution in plastic zip-top baggies is starting to fail). I'd seen a lot of people raving about these Elizabeth Ward containers on blogs so I figured I would give them a go. For starters, I bought this, with the "tiny" containers and also a separate tray with the "small" containers. First, a word on the tray. It is fairly stiff, white plastic. It comes with a clear plastic lid and there are two areas on the sides where you can flip the plastic up to secure the lid in place. I like this double layer of security (since the individual containers also have lids). This came with labels for the containers if you are so inclined (I am not using the labels -- I am not a professional jewelry maker and don't care about reorder numbers or whole bead prices as this is all to feed a hobby of mine). The lids stay on securely and you can stack the trays. You can see quickly what is in each tray; I like to store similar beads in the same tray so I can quickly find what I am looking for. The individual containers are not attached to one another so you can rearrange beads within the organizer or move them between organizers. There is a little space in each column so you can retrieve a container of interest without disturbing the others. I was a bit apprehensive about the tiny containers and whether they would be big enough but they turned out to be quite useful. I wanted to explore working with Miyuki 4 mm cube beads so I had bought a bunch of colors in 10 gram packages. These fit quite nicely in the tiny containers. Similarly, I have some size 8/0 hex-cut beads in 10 gram quantities and those fit in here as well. I also put about 16 grams of Toho size 3/0 seed beads in some of these as well as 16 grams of Toho size 6/0 seed beads in some of these. It was a tight fit, but it was possible to close the containers without forcing anything. So, I'd say 16 grams of beads is an upper limit for the tiny containers, and that is somewhat dependent on the size and shape of the beads and how well they pack together. (I provided the long list to give you some ideas of what you could expect to fit in these because that information is sorely lacking in most of the product literature and catalog copy for these containers.) I also feel comfortable putting size 15/0 seed beads in these, as I have done so and they stayed in the containers when I closed the lids -- there was no place for them to come out. (Similarly, size 11/0 and 8/0 are fine in these.) My only criticism is about the hinges on the containers, themselves. They are thinner sections of plastic in the lids of the containers. I can easily see a time in the future when they start to break. Now, you can buy replacement containers, so it is not the end of the world. What I think I am probably going to do is, if I anticipate having to open and close my bead storage a lot while working on something, simply distributing some beads into a container with a wholly removable lid for the duration of the project. It's a minor inconvenience but it will keep these in top shape for longer. I have a lot of SuperDuos and 2-hole honeycomb beads and Miyuki Tilas and size 15/0 rocailles that still need homes, all in sub 15-gram quantities, so I will definitely be buying one or two more of these. Of course, you are not limited to beads -- crimps and crimp covers, earwires, earring backs, knot covers, thread protectors, jump rings, rivets, small charms, smaller clasps, etc., would all fit in here as well. (So would non-jewelry-related items, like rhinestones for nail art, small screws, electrical components like resistors, etc. I would not store food or cosmetics in these as I do not think they are food safe and also complete retrieval and cleaning would not be very easy.) Oh, and I just love looking at the filled containers, organizing things by color, etc. (It doesn't take much to get me excited.) I am really happy to be able to see everything I have in one place; makes it so much easier to get started with my projects. Filled trays can be a bit heavy but nothing unmanageable.

If you are new to diamond painting and looking to work with containers other that flimsy little plastic baggies, definitely consider this storage. I've purchased 3, and it has allowed me to sort to my hearts content. I've purchased 2 of the 82 piece (all small containers), and then one of the mixed sizes containers. This way, I have a main container for round and square beads and can mix in the larger sizes whenever I have a lot of a certain color (such as 310-black). The containers stack on top of each other easily, and when using one I use the clear lid as a sort of spill container too (if you know the travesty of spilling those little gems, you understand). I like how the individual containers are secure and easy to open/close (I've had other containers that I had to have my hubby open for me- not cool when trying to be crafty and he's at work). Overall, if you are diamond painting, get at least one of the small container boxes for ease of mind. Side note- I got some transparent number stickers to keep track as well, they fit perfectly on these.

This storage system is great. The product is durable and they fix perfectly in my tower. I need to get more.

I love these, they're ideal bead storage! At a guess, each tiny box takes around 15g of seed beads - which means you can comfortably fit a 10g bead tube or baggie in each one. Key points: - the clip tops are easy to open and seal securely, so they shouldn't pop open and spill your stash everywhere - the clear plastic makes it easy to see what you have - the box shape seems to be harder to knock over than other boxes I've used, so should mean fewer accidental spills There is one tiny little niggle, which is that the clip tops don't open particularly wide, so you need to be careful when tipping beads into the box - but this is such a small issue that it doesn't take a star away. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying more of these :)

I did a lot of research before buying this product since it's a bit pricey and because it isn't available in store where I live. However, it's worth every single penny, especially if you buy it on sale like I did. My only regret? Not finding out about this product sooner. I own thousands of beads and have so many different organizers from the dollar store, fishing supply shops, and craft stores. This is hands down THE best system I have ever used for small items like beads, findings, buttons, and sequins. I knew I would like it, so I bought 3 of the 82-piece and 3 of the 45-piece Darice Elizabeth Ward bead storage trays. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and will definitely be buying more. The package arrived very quickly, but FYI it was very heavy having all 6 in the same box. My poor mailman could barely carry it, so you might want to buy just 3 at a time because they could refuse to carry such a heavy package. After making jewelry for almost 20 years, I've learned that it's important to have completely TRANSPARENT (not just "clear") storage early on, and you need to be able to remove each container individually. You need a system where you can put it in front of you and see the colours/shapes without needing to remove any of the contents and so you can take the bare minimum with you on the road. It's also wonderful that there's room for me to label each container with the brand, price, shade, etc. without hiding the contents. It's very hard to do that with tackle boxes and other organizers where you can't remove any section. The labels it comes with are handy for basic information. If you need to write a lot of information, I highly recommend using a label maker (mine is Brother PT400 and is perfect for this use). For reference: I can comfortably fit approximately 150- 200 4mm glass crystal beads per tiny container. Even though the containers are so small, they fit a lot. There is much less wasted space than other craft organizers. For those of you who use sequins: you can easily fit at least one entire package of sequins in each tiny container. Also, when you consider that the 82-piece system comes with 78 containers, it's not actually as expensive as it sounds. You would easily spend that much if not more per bead vial without the whole system. If I had to write a possible disadvantage: some people will find it difficult to open these containers. You shouldn't try opening it on your own because you'll probably break a nail or simply won't be able to open it. I use needle nose pliers to open the lid, and this method works well for me each time. However, I wouldn't recommend filling the containers to the brim because that makes it difficult to open even with pliers. Since I realized I could use pliers to open the containers, this isn't a disadvantage for me because that's what makes the containers so sturdy! I've opened and closed a few containers multiple times, and they still snap firmly shut. Most other bead containers open way too easily and usually not when you want it to, causing beads to spill everywhere. If you've ever used a pill box type container to store beads and dropped it, you know how they fly everywhere and are a pain to clean up. I doubt this will be a problem with these containers. I've noticed some reviewers complaining that it's difficult to open the containers, so if that's the case, just have your pliers handy and lift up the lid with just one end of the pliers. It's super easy to open if you use that method. 5 star product & 5 star delivery to Canada! Highly recommended for any crafter that uses lots of small items like beads, findings, buttons, and sequins.
