Just a good cable
Another solid cable. These guys just make cables that are just cables. That's all it needs to be.

Nice cable
This is a nice heavy well-made cable. Works great for my addition of a second monitor to my computer. The locking mechanism on the data port end is a plus over other cables I looked at and was a selling feature for me. With all the cables coming out of the back of your computer, it's nice to know this one will stay in place.

Had to return
The connectors, both DP and DVI are wider than standard spec. I have an older KVM switch with tight tolerances and I would need to dremel the sides of the connectors down for fit. Electronically it did not give full 3k resolution from a barco 5xxx video card and a barco coronis 6xxx monitor.

Worked right out of the box
Worked perfectly right out of the box/bag. No problems with it.

Good quality at a very good price.
If you want to add an extra monitor or just have a displayport available this is the item for you. It does what it says in the description, no more no less. Currently connected to a 1920 x 1200 LED display. It says in the description that it is a passive, pass through, not bidirectional. So if you need to setup 3 or more displays with AMD Eyefinity then follow the AMD "how to" on AMD's website and get a recommended adapter. Please read the description (see below) and if you do not know how to read find a friend that does before purchasing and then leaving low rating:This is a passive cable that requires a DP++ port (DisplayPort++), meaning that DVI and HDMI signals can also be passed through the port.* This passive adapter supports up to 2 monitor display configurations using AMD Eyefinity Multi-Display technology. To support more monitor displays, an active adapter is required.* This cable can only pass signal from DisplayPort to HDMI port. This is NOT a bi-directional cable.* Latching and screw locking connectors ensure that the cables remain secure, preventing accidental disconnection. Please press the button on the DP end to disconnect the cable.

New Life for an Aging Monitor
My wife works for a small business owner who recently upgraded the PC's to Dell Precisions which only have Display Port (DP) video out. To save money, they wanted to keep using their existing 1080p monitors which only support DVI and VGA. I picked up this 10 foot cable for backwards compatibility and length. It does the trick perfectly. After years of using VGA (It was a Windows 7 machine we replaced), everyone was thrilled with the improvements. Digital signals always beat analog. The cable does what we needed. The length is good. I generally recognize and trust Cable Matters and Anker... among a sea of other (mostly indistinguishable) brands.
