This is an OEM cable for a good price.

As described
Product is as described, however there is no information or directions included. The disk contains numerous programs so you need to know what needs to be installed and have a good understanding how to unzip and install the files. Also, need to understand how to rename com ports if the cable isn't recognized.

No software for the 9800 as listed in the description
I bought this specifically for software for the 9800 but the mini-CD is exactly the same one I already had for my 8600. No 9800 software on either. The cable works but no software for the 9800 as noted in the description.

Programming cable/software
This system did not operate as advertised. I was never able to get the software to actually program channel frequencies. I am familiar with other programming software that has worked as advertised.
