I have a generator for when hurricanes knock out the power. One problem I had was when power was restored I still was on generator for hours sometimes without knowing. Our service panel has an outside and inside circuit breaker boxes. The outside box feeds the main power to the house through box in the garage. The outside box also has the breakers for outside outlets and pool equipment. The generator connects to the garage box and has an Interlock only allows power from the generator or the outside box. I was able to put a water tite box near an outside outlet with the power monitor. I set it up to text me went the power is out and when it is restored. Yolink allows for 50 free texts a month for alerting. I also receive notifications on my phone with the YoLink app. This may not work the same if you only have one circuit breaker box. But it would tell you if the power goes out while you are away and when it is restored. Also important is I have a UPS connected to my router and YoLink hub, otherwise I would not get the power out alerts.

Works great, easy to attach to the yolink app. I have a backup generator that does not connect to wifi. when I'm away this lets me know when normal power is off and when it is restored. The only draw back, it has a built-in audible alarm that can be turned down but not off, not a big deal just depends on were you install it as to whether it bothers you. On the app it can be set to cut off after as little as 10 seconds.

I’m impressed with the ease of use after initial set up. Alarms and notifications when you loose power to your device. I got mine after loosing hundreds of dollars in frozen food and not knowing for weeks that my chest freezer in the shed had power loss.Great range. My Hub is in a cabinet out of sight and has no connection issues with the module far outside in the shed.

I use this to alert when power IS detected from the outlet (default is power off). To fully mute the device, toggle "Mute" to off in the device settings from the app. I just wish there was a way either disable the LEDs completely, or set the Alarm Duration to 0 seconds since it's running on battery by default.

Works as it should. The app lets you decide how to be notified in case of a power outage - I chose a text with that particular number having a super obnoxious text tone. Yolink stuff is very simple to set up and they are pretty imaginative as far as product design goes. Not the physical design - it’s pretty basic - but the things a person would want to do with such things.Their customer service if there ever is a problem, is top notch too so I know if something fails, they will help.

So far, this has been one of the best purchase's that I have made. the installation and programming went without a hitch. I am not tech savvy and usually depend on my son to handle things that have to do with the internet or any electronic. Instructions were a breeze, and everything was up and running in a very short time. I have now complete statistics on both my freezer and my refrigerator with alarms to let me know if everything is working properly.

I did a ton of comparisons mainly wanting a system that won’t screw me over and demand a subscription down the road. These are great. One monitors my sump pump in case the pump fails. I have the sensor set up to notify me. Number two lets me know if the temp drops in my home past a set mark (would tell me if my furnace fails ) and a third would let me know if the power goes out at my home. Efficient system and reliable.
