Overall its a great piece of workmanship. The instructions were a little hazy at times but we did figure them out. YES, you may have to use some good ole common sense so that may leave a lot of you in the dark! HA! My two chief complaints are...they could have packaged it better because there was some chafing during shipment that scratched the wood deep enough that I could see the bare wood. The other observation I made are the doors don't seem to line up when closing them and is takes some light pressure to pull them down to align so you can lock the latches. However, and in all fairness, I don't have it setting on a flat surface I have it on my back yard on some gravel because of the location which is better for the CAT! (Remember, dogs have owners...cats have servants!) In ending, my cat really love the cubby at the top. I threw some padding in there and that's where I find him when I go outside to get him. He's actually been out there as late as midnight and runs away when I open the door cuz he doesn't want to come in and see boring ole dad! I honestly believe anyone who buys this will be pleased overall!

I am blown away by this product to be honest . It is as cool in person as it looks in the pictures . I was sure we would need to pay someone to put it together but nope me and my 2 daughters (12&16) put it together in less than 2 hours. Instructions were pretty clear and all needed items (minus screw driver) were there . I am super impressed and so are my cats :)

Overall I am happy with the Catio. It was easy to put together and pieces aligned. However, there were some defects as you can see from the pictures. The wood used is soft and because of this and what I feel is poor packaging there are some scratches / gouges. I can see where there was some major damage in other reviews. In addition, a piece was missing to support one of the shelves, this was not a loose piece but one that should have been attached to one of the frame pieces. Fortunately, I had spare wood to fix this problem. See pictures’ brown wood piece under shelve my fix other side is the grey piece on the other side. If I could give a half star I would have given 3.5 stars.

For starters...I ordered 2 of these so that I could connect them side by side as shown in the photo. I paid for two but only received one. Sent a message to seller. No response yet.The one box I did receive looked like it had been opened and then re-packaged by a 5 year old. There was damage to the actual item. (I've included photos.) There were so many broken and chipped pieces that I couldn't possibly include all the photos.If you are looking for an outdoor item, this is probably NOT the one for you. It's not sturdy. A strong gust of wind could knock this over. Also, the metal mesh netting is flimsy. A mischievous kitty could easily make their way through it. Some of the staples they used had caused the mesh to break. Luckily, we have a staple gun so I went around the entire piece and made sure to secure the mesh to the wood frame.The only reason we are keeping this item is because we needed it immediately for a litter of rescue/foster kittens. And we are using this item indoors.Update: 2 days after I wrote this review, the second item was finally delivered. I have not opened the second package yet.
