Stokes Select Corn Cob Squirrel Feeder, 1 Corn Cob Capacity

The best corn feeder I've ever used! It's easy to hang, easy to fill, and the squirrels can't steal the cobs from it. I have it hanging on a shepherd's crook, about 10 feet from the bird feeder and it has kept the squirrels busy and mostly off the bird feeder. The bird feeder is a squirrel-proof model so they can't eat there, but they do chase away the birds.

This basic design is sturdy enough to prevent the hungriest squirrels from destroying it. It has survived quite a bit of use in the cold weather this winter. Although it is designed for corn on the cob, it also holds the formed Squirrelogs (also available through Amazon). I have it dangling about a foot above the ground on a rope suspended from a springy tree branch - they seem to enjoy bouncing on their own feeder instead of climbing past the baffles installed on the bird feeders. Great fun to watch them scamper for a another helping.

Solid construction. Hanger is a little tricky at first; the two sides of the hanger need to be separated by one of the coils. I like the way that the feeder slows down the greedy little varmints. They have to work harder for the corn. That's a good thing.

Works as it should. We just hung it up with a chain from a tree limb. We might attach it to a bungee cord, but for now, it's doing its job. It's attracted more raccoons than squirrels, but that may be due to our current method or the fact that there are so many other options for squirrels in our backyard.

Easy to put cobs in and hang. Just need to be sure this is secure to something it they will drag it away

Sturdy and is easy to insert cob of corn. Squirrels can easily remove entire cob. Update squirrels kept taking the entire cob of corn until I came up with this solution...I inserted a canning lid through the top row and secured with tape. Will buy some silver duct tape which will look better.

I am giving this squirrel feeder one star because the cob holder is especially heavy duty. However, the hanger is worthless. The squirrels have learned to easily remove the corn either by tipping the feeder and pulling it out or by pulling the cob holder off the hanger. I knew as soon as I received it that it wasn’t going to work because it was not like my other feeder which locks as you can see in the photos. I should have sent it back during the allowed return time but I kept modifying it to make it work. My most recent attempt is pictured where I used plastic ties pulled very tight but not tight enough. The cob was gone within hours of my hanging it back up having found all but the hanger on the ground in the AM. DO NOT BUY THIS SQUIRREL FEEDER. I’m done with it!!!

i put ear of corn in it and thought it was great but next day it was gone can't find it anywhere in yard . i guess a squirrel stole it . also have lost lighter weight ones in the past month . i have an acre and half but i sure can't find them the other ones were wire for holding cakes of suet .
