Easy and fun - peppers were slower to germinate, but they're definitely getting there
I bought a few starter kits from Plant Theater (herbs, funky veggies, edible flowers, and peppers), and really couldn't be happier. I planted the seeds from all of them a week ago, and half of them have already sprouted and are growing well. I'm a newbie gardener (really green, hah, get it?), and the kits were easy and fun with good instructions. The only thing I would have liked is clarification on how many seeds should go into a starter pot, but I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Amazing results - BE PATIENT!
I purchased this grow kit as a gift and we planted them about mid-April. The biggest thing to remember is to be patient! We were starting to wonder if they'd ever grow, but then we put the peat pots under a grow light for about 10-12 hours each day for a couple weeks. They sprouted like magic. We only used the supllies in the kit to start our seeds. It has now been about 12-13 weeks and soon well be enjoying some tasty peppers! This makes a great gift for anyone looking to get started in gardening. Our peppers are all indoors and container-grown.Update 9/22/2015: we have gotten quite a few peppers from our plants! I'm impressed at what we've gotten for someone who has never grown veggies before! Habaneros have been slow all along, nothing to harvest quite yet, but they're coming!

Fun to use but bad germination rate
This kit was really great but I docked 1 star because the termination rate was pretty bad. For one of the peppers, not even 1 of the seeds germinated. The saplings are also really vulnerable to transplant shock when they're finally ready to move into bigger pots so it's important to take extra care of them. I would buy another kit though because it was fun and easy to use

Epic fail !
I purchased this as a gift for friends . However they told me that when they planted the seeds not one of the seeds came up!These are not farming beginners! I was so embarrassed. They told me that the seeds were likely old. The packets were dated through 1/23. They were purchased in 12/22 !!!Don't waste your money on these.

Not a single pepper
Gifted this to a green thumb. They made a plant bed and planted the seeds in early summer. Some buds were seen initially. They did not last long and one by one they all died. Not sure if it was the climate, but I suspect these weren't premium seeds. Would try from a local seed store before trying this again.

Cute gift for a green thumber
Bought this for my little brother who has a green thumb and loves to garden. It was a cute kit and came with all you could need to start. I will be buying more in the future.

Love the Variety
Interesting variety, everything sprouted, cannot wait for first harvest. Only complaint is that the pots that the plants come with are not very good, neither is the dehydrated soil. I know the pots are supposed to be used for sprouting and replanting, but you cannot plant a pot 4 inch pot with 15 seeds in it, the plants will kill each other. Excellent product, just use your own pots and soil.

A review of the pepper package
It has six different varieties from milder peppers to hotter ones including Habanero, Cayenne and JalapenoSweet peppers are: Sweet Pepper Frying Mix, Sweet Pepper Orange Sun and Sweet Pepper California Wonder.I have planted the hotter ones but not (yet) the milder ones. The cayenne seem to grow first.I like the packaging. It is easy to use, and a nice gift idea, too, for someone who likes peppers.
