THE BEST END TO A GREAT STORY!
To say this outright, it does have an HEA! So no worries there! But O M G! If you thought The Don was HOT, The Lady is HOTTER!!! Torch me, torch my house, torch the world because wow this was amazing! I was crying by the end because it was so great! I couldn’t put it down! Read this one in one day as well! I almost didn’t go to work because I wanted to read it! That’s how much it zapped me in to the story! Wonderful, amazing, and all around one of the best ones I’ve read lately! 100 stars for perfection! Must read in my eyes!

Utter PERFECTION
This book picks up right where ‘The Don’ left off and it was full steam ahead from the very first page. This duet is absolutely phenomenal, and there aren’t enough wonderful words to describe how completely epic ‘The Lady’ is!!!This review is going to be super short because I don’t want to give anything away, but just know that Jen continues to show she’s more than what she appears and she’s exactly what Luciu needs, despite what his family may think!! Another bomb gets dropped in this story, only it’s not about who you may think.I need more from the Valentini family and that ending has me completely intrigued and begging for more!!

Eep! Another hit!
WOW! What another hit. "Lady" was a wonderful duet to "Don". Although I felt this ended a bit more abrupt than I would have preferred, I CANNOT wait for the next duet.So many things left on a cliffhanger! Need to know if Aoife and Finn are okay, what the history is between Rory and Hunter. As amazing as Serena Akeroyd writes, she has SO many books to write in this mafia world. Cannot wait for Lyanov as well!

Part 2 of the Duet - Part of the Sinners MC and Five Points’ Mob series
This is NOT a stand-alone! It is part of the Dark and Dirty Sinners’ MC and The Five Points’ Mob series universe and Part 2 of the Duet on the newest mafia family in NYC. There are multiple reoccurring characters, overlapping timelines and overarching themes. I HIGHLY advise these be read in the author’s recommended reading order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers.** There are multiple subjects for those that have a trigger or offended by certain topics. I highly recommend that anyone sensitive read these before purchasing. **WARNING: If you have not read any of the previous stories in the series, then the following may contain spoilers.⛔️ Contains adult language, derogatory terms used to describe females (and some males), steamy hot adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, and violence such as kidnapping, abduction for ransom, assassinations, murder, assault, torture, betrayal, consensual / non-consensual acts, attempted rape, rape, prostitution, theft, illegal drug use / manufacture / distribution, human trafficking, domestic violence, blackmail, subterfuge, etc. Also contains references to mental, physical and sexual abuse with some to children. There are a few grammatical issues, but less than in previous stories, mainly missing and extra inserted words. There are also not as many unfamiliar phrases or terms as in previous stories within the shared universe, but a few still are used. Since the hero of the story is from Sicily, via England, I expected some to be used. I am trying to make sure to mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors or unfamiliar terms / phrases it interrupt the flow.Luciu is the new Sicilian Don of the Italian mafia. It was a position that his family held under his Grandfather before his murder when Luciu’s father was a baby. Through planning, plotting and undermining the Italians for the last 10 years, they have avenged some of the wrongs of the past and started the search for their family’s stolen rubies.Jennifer, aka Jen, is the BFF of Aoife, and the former BFF of Savannah. She was introduced early in the series. She has had a hard life, even though it should have been better now that she knew who her father was … just reinforces the message that no one, especially men, can be trusted … they will all leave you. So how can she depend on Luciu, despite what he has shown her so far? Just when she begins to, he is arrested, she is dropped off in front of her crappy apartment without so much as a word, and no one will tell her what is going on!

4.5 Stars!
Ok, I’ve been tearing my way through Serena Akeroyd’s books. I’ve been reading The Satan Sinners MC and The 5 Points’ Mob series in their crossover order. I will eventually write series reviews for them but I’m not finished yet. The Don and The Lady are the first duet in the Valentini Family series it’s all a part of the same world. I have fallen hard for this universe and this world and I don’t want to leave it!The Don and The Lady come near the end of the crossover order and while you could read them alone, I highly suggest reading at least the 5 Points to have a better understanding of what is going on.Jen is a self-proclaimed gold digger that wants more than what she grew up with and is not afraid to use her body to try and climb that ladder. Luciu has been seeking revenge for the past 10 years and has now taken his title as The Don of the mafia in New York. They meet by chance and both feel and instant something towards each other.Luc courted her so perfectly and he was a perfect Sicilian dreamboat that would slay dragons for Jen. Jen had a journey of finding her self worth and whether she could be what Luc needed with his position. I loved them together. I loved Jen’s unapologetic way of living her life and her reasons why she did. There was a ton of action and the storyline has me chomping at the bit to get Rory’s story!I definitely recommend!

Brilliant duet
The Oath Duet (Valentini Family Series) continues with this amazing book The Lady.I am so pleased that the release of this duet was only a week apart. From the cliffhanger in The Don, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next!Luciu and Jen are perfect for each other. The Don has definitely found his Lady! Jen is strong, sassy, clever and caring. She is everything that Luciu demands and needs from a relationship. This rollercoaster ride is intense, steamy, heartbreaking, joyous and has a few twists and turns along the way.Loving the series, can't wait for the next one!5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Queen of the Mob
The Lady is an amazing follow up to The Don. Jen is such a wonderful character, strong and yet vulnerable at the same time and completely unaware of the power she has over Luciu. She is his Queen and her growth and development as she gradually begins to really believe this was a joy to read especially when he puts her before his ‘famigghia’ as she knew that family is everything to a Sicilian not least one who’s a Don. Bottom line is Luciu will kill for Jen and has no hesitation in proving just how important she is to any and everyone. Don’t think that this story was all hearts and flowers just because they confessed their love for one another – the sex scenes are just as HOT AND FILTHY as in The Don!!!They were a few surprises, one especially that I did not see coming involving his sister – way to drop a bombshell there! A part of me feels the title of this book, The Lady, could almost be aimed at Aurora more than Jen and was perhaps setting the stage for her story but that in no way lessened my enjoyment of this book. If anything it’s made me eager to find out what Serena Akeroyd has in store next for the Valentini family.I honestly can’t believe I haven’t read this author before now!

5 Stars
The Lady picks up immediately after THAT cliffhanger in The Don. I couldn’t wait to start this book and pretty much read it in one sitting. It didn't disappoint.I love the relationship between Lucio and Jen. Lucio provides emotional stability and support that she didn't know she needed.Jen & Lucio are perfect together. After being a bit player in many of the books in the Feckers series, it's great that Jen gets her own book. Based on the many twists and turns in this, I'm eagerly awaiting Filthy Secret. All in all this is another fab addition by Serena Akeroyd.

What an awesome ending...
Part two of the Oath duet was awesome.I laughed, I cried, I felt hot in the face when the spicy stuff happened. One thing that needs to be warned is that there is miscarriage in the book. This is one of my triggers so you'll probably wonder why I bothered? I wanted to know how the story ended. So I sobbed and I mean SOBBED through the bits that hurt and kept reading because I know that Serena Akeroyd deals with these things well. I have read enough of her books now to know she won't brush it off as if it were nothing. She's sensitive and caring with her characters.I mean she does torture them in other ways but that's the job of an author isn't it.But back to the story. It was spicy and sexy. It was raw and heartbreaking. It was honest and challenging. It was violent and unapologetic (after all this is a book about the mafia). I'd recommend it. I needed to know how it ended and I'm so glad there is some great twists and turns and thrilled that it has a happily ever after story.Well done Serena Akeroyd.

Fantastic 5 star read
I was so excited to start this book with how The Don ended. Wow it didn't dissapoint , this book took me on another rollercoaster of a ride , touching on subjects that are very close to heart. Luciu is one swoony Hero and he definately knows how to treat his Lady. Jen is perfect for The Don , she keeps him on his toes and is loyal to the core. Another fantastic 5 star read from this author and it's a phenomenal end to this duet. I can't wait for more in this series and the other books set in this world.
