Q: Can it support a 12 inch Lordear, weights 3.1 lbs without water load? Does it have locking teeth?

I am not sure how a Lordear looks, but I think it can support. It is made of sturdy plastic. With a three pound weight there is a possibility that it will be a bit wobbly. The extension is quite large, but does have locking teeth, so it will hold the set level.

Q: Is the flow of water restricted through this component as with others on the market? I've seen on a lot of these about half the flow is blocked off.

you are 100% correct. This DOES have a flow issue.Who answered was the seller...If you notice in my review i show pictures that the water goes throught the screw hole then through the rod then out... My pictures explains it a lot better but about 50% water reduction.In my guest bathroom which is very old (60's) has smaller pipes and i did a before and after comparison. No change. However in the newer section of the house there is a noticeable difference.

I have one. It holds but if you’re over 6 foot you’ll bump your head
