It is certainly possible to do it alone but having a second pair of hands helped stabilize pieces throughout the assembly. I was going to mix it up but these are so great that I just ordered more to complete our garage project.The wheels are game changers! We use this in our basement as a pantry and it works well for many storage uses. I may get another one for paint and tools.
