Everybody that collects rainwater for laundry and garden needs to invest in these fittings for their rain barrels. easy to install, don't leak. Metal ones would be more sturdy, but the cost is so much higher than these. I'm happy and will probably buy more if the need arises.

Works well. Difficult to tighten because I didn't have a wrench large enough but so far have not leaked. Comes with a thick silicone washer. Would purchase again.

I got these (I needed one) to add a drain to a bog filter that I'm building for a small fish pond. It makes a watertight seal even though the surface it's mounted on is curved (the wall of a round plastic tub about two feet across).

I bought a pair of these 1-inch (nominal) bulkhead fittings in April 2024 for $10. The application is feeding cables through the wall of a cargo container. The nut threads backwards. This isn't a problem and there's probably a good reason for this; I just don't know what it is. I used a hole saw with oil to cut the wall. A 1-inch (nominal) PVC pipe "nipple" fits the inside threads. I bent the PVC pipe and used it on the outside, pointing down, to prevent rain ingress. It all fits together nicely.The package included some teflon tape which is probably relevant for water tank applications.

Leaks. My surface was clean, hole was appropriate size, etc. The only way to keep it from leaking was to tighten it so tight with pliers that I was concerned the union would crack/break. Terrible quality. Returned and bought some quality Banjo bulkheads which had no leaks without severe tightening.
