BEST NIGHTLIGHT ON THE MARKET! A SAFETY ESSENTIAL for FALL PREVENTION!
Over-all, this is the best nightlight on the market & I would grab a few before it is discontinued.Due to various cost factors, numerous electronic devices have gone downhill in the past decade or so.The dumbing down of these items started in the great recession & con't. I have bought backups viaAmazon or Ebay of items that range from a clock-radio new from Italy to this.I have one of these LED nightlights in the bathroom that has worked well for the past few years.I recently bought a few more to add to the bedroom & also have 4 back-ups when/if they fail.So far none have failed....and work great. They have just the right amount of motion detection. I imagine it is a PIR method. While it does turn off thelight if the other lighting is high...that part is fairly insensitive...which is not a big deal since once we leave thebath or bedroom...nothing moves to activate. They fortunately do not seem to have false activations from the heating ducts which is important when you sleep.Since my wife hates extra LED lights on at night, these fit the bill. While they are not too bright when you are not night vision adapted, they can seem a bit bright after dark adaptation. As at least one person noted, you can place some sort of red {or neutral} light filter to lower or change the color.I have used multiple sheets of plastic car window tint to lower the glare from another LED clock radio & you cando likewise. They also happen to stock these at my local OSH, but are marked up another $4....so a two pack on Amazon savesyou at least $8.The time off varies a bit from one to another, so if you have two on either sides of your bedroom, they will go offat different times...but it seems to be under 1 minute each. You need to have at least two to cover bother ends of abedroom since it cannot "see" around corners of the bed.It is clear that the PIR sensor & circuit are most lightly to burn out before the LED bulb, but that will still give youyears of use. It lists using about 0.5 Watt, but it is unclear if this is with/without the LED on/off. Many householdIR receivers on TV's and devices usually draw around 0.25 to 2 watts even when "off".Even with the small current draw of the PIR sensor, this device is lightly cost-effective compared to either alwayson LEDs or even ones that detect light. Since our bathroom has no windows, a simple light sensing LED nightlightwould remain on constantly & will burn out/fade in time. While you still can use an old switch type nightlight along with a LED bulb....it would be Impossible to see the switchin total darkness. This type of Motion LED is quite a blessing to all...especially those who may be prone to fall in the dark orhave failing senses as with those of us who are getting older. These devices really should be required to be used in most senior settings...so definitely get somefor your impaired or impaired elderly persons. Since I have had back surgery, have neuropathy, andcannot tolerate a major fall, this device is critical to my well being! What is unclear to me, is why so few manufactures now offer such a critical device. This is an item that is likely as important as seat-belts for many...yet it is rarelyfound in most stores.Thank you Amer Tac for providing this essential item.

Great Deal on Motion Night Lights
These are great electricity-saving lights for the price! The motion sensor works well and the LED projects decent night lighting for small spaces. I originally purchased one for my small hall bathroom and liked it so much that I purchased a 2 pack for my master bedroom and master bath! The sensor is somewhat sensitive and it will turn the light on when a room has subtle lighting during the beginning of dawn or dusk. It’s fine for my bathrooms because they have skylights. However, in my bedroom the sensor activates the light during movement at dusk and dawn....not a big deal because I’m often not in my master bedroom and bath around that time.It has a cute 90’s modern look which doesn’t necessarily match my decor but it somewhat blends in, and I’m very happy with the performance of this product.

Good nightlight
My son is big enough to use the toilet but not big enough to turn on the light switch. These nightlights work great for him to use the bathroom in the evening and during the night. We have one in the hallway near his door and others in the bathrooms. The light turns on when it detects motion and stays on for a little while then shuts off when there is no more movement. The light is bright enough to see but doesn't hurt the eyes. The first two-pack I got, one of the nightlights didn't work or stopped working shortly after we got it (can't remember), so I docked one star, but that did not dissuade me from getting another two pack and both of those work fine.

Motion sensor night light
Let me start off by saying I think I've only left one other review on a productive purchased on Amazon, and I've purchased A LOT! These sensor lights are aawwweessoommeee!! They are decorative, work exactly as described, put off just the right amount of light, and did I mention they are awesome? We just moved into a large house that gets pitch dark at night. That's not good when you have two small kids getting up in the middle of the night to go potty. These light put off a nice soft light, just enough to see where you are going. My kids don't use regular night lights, they are used to sleeping in the dark. These lights work on motion, then go dark once motion has stopped. I love them so much we now own 8 of them!! You can't beat the price either. Don't hesitate if your debating on trying these awesome little lights.

Perfect for kitchen, hallway and bathroom lighting for the eyes in the middle of the night
Very nice light, not too bright so, convenient for night time. Motion detection picks up easy. No flaws on these lights and they serve the purpose more than enough. I like the fact how all these light wont turn on as long as theres sufficient ambient light in wherever you put them. Nonetheless theyre stylish. I found out that positioning it up or down also makes the difference in the light capacity. Up is more strong on the eyes than if you let it point to floor, duh, obviously! :D but try it. I like one pointing down and the other up. These are actually perfect for that matter if you want the floor to have wider light coverage without your eyes being poked. Or lighten up more of the upper wall and let your eyes force to accommodate a lil when walking in its sentsitive motion detection zone.

They work great. Just the right amount of light for those ...
They work great. Just the right amount of light for those 3AM restroom trips. As soon as I walk in the restroom it comes on but not so bright as to disturb anyone else or make my eyes have to adjust. I also use one in the garage and it works great there as well. Not enough light to work by but when your walking through the garage at night you can see just enough to not run into things. Really nice that you don't have to be right in front of them for them to turn on. I picks up movement from the side and at pretty good distance. Keep an eye on the price as these things changed price 3 or 4 times, over about 7 - 10 days while in my cart.
