Great buy!
Very well thought out. Good quality easy to install and I love that it pops off for cleaning, and the slow close feature. It will come with me when I move. I rent but didn’t want to deal with the cheap $13 toilet seat lids anymore that the landlord installs. Pretty comfy to sit on as well.

A Quality Product at a Reasonable Price.
Having gone through (no pun intended) four toilet seats in the past year, we decided to give this one a try. We made a good choice: 1. Easy to order; very fast delivery 2. We initially ordered the wrong color, but the exchange was easy and fast. They are right when they say that the colors one sees on a web site are not always true. 3. The seat and the mounting materials are all of excellent quality, justifying the slightly higher cost. 4. The instructions are clearly written, and the installation was simple. 5. The mounting system is certainly different, but the idea is ingeniously efficient -- it really should become the norm. 6. The seat can be removed simply and quickly for cleaning. 7. Most importantly, the mounting and the seat itself are very sturdy, and there is no loose wiggling. The slow-close function works well, and the hinge extends strongly across the entire seat width. 8. We are very pleased to have found an American company that has taken a commonly traditional product and improved it significantly. We must say we were also very surprised to learn that their offices are located in Davidson, NC, just two blocks away from one of our all-time favorite restaurants. 9. Five stars for an excellent and reasonably priced product.

This is an excellent toilet seat -- well worth the extra money.
I spent a lot of time reading mfr info and customer reviews -- 'cause that's the kind of exciting, on the edge guy I am.In the last few years it seems that overall product quality has gone way down. There have always been cheap, poor quality products, but at least in the past a buyer could spend more and get a good value ('bang for the buck'). Now it can be difficult to find good quality, durable products -- at any price. This toilet seat is the exception. Most seats I looked at have horrible 1/2-star reviews. The "overall" rating of an product is often misleading. Positive reviews can be fake, and the ones that seem legit are typically written when the buyer has little (if any) experience with the product. So I read the 1-star reviews first. I exclude the ones that are obviously N/A (operator error; box damaged; late; wrong color, etc.). Most of the seats had a significant number of legit sounding 1-star reviews -- seat cracked for no apparent reason (user well below max weight); mounting hardware fails to hold seat steady, etc. This toilet seat is clearly much better quality than most. It is very strong (400 lb. rating IIRC); the soft close and easy clean features work well. This seat is clearly worth the extra money. It's maybe double the price of the average poorly made seat, but OTOH, there are toilet seats that cost hundreds of dollars.

Sturdy and well made
Bought this as replacement to a wood one that had broken. The mounting system worked well and was easy to install. Also makes it quick to remove for easy cleaning. It is more expensive than most but you get what you pay for. The only downside is my other toilet seats aren't slow close like this one and I'm letting them crash down each time after getting used to this one. Would buy again, highly recommended.

Easy installation
I bought this toilet seat lid because it was the only one I could find to match the color of our toilet (Bemis and Mayfair just weren't the right shade of off-white). I read the instructions, watched the video on the website (about 1.5 minutes long), and read the instructions again. It probably took me (a 60+ year old woman) about 30 minutes to install the seat. It was actually easy-peasy.My only concern is that underneath the seat, it's not flat wood like the other Bemis seat, but a molded plastic that curves up (see photo). It just doesn't look as easy to clean as a regular flat seat.
