Q: Is this spikenard oil or olive oil?

This doesn't appear to have any spikenard in it at all. Spikenard is spikenard. There shouldn't be anything other than Nardostachys jatamansi and a carrying oil of some sort and that's it. The fact that this has listed olive oil and some ambiguous herbs and spices tells me it doesn't have any spikenard in it and is no a true spikenard as, for instance, what was used on Jesus.

Mark and John’s accounts specify that it was a pound of “genuine nard,” worth 300 denarii. That sum represented about a year’s wages for an ordinary laborer. (Mr 14:3-5; Joh 12:3-5) The source of such perfumed oil is generally thought to be an aromatic plant (Nardostachys jatamansi) found in the Himalayas. Nard was often adulterated, even counterfeited, but both Mark and John say that this oil was “genuine.”--footnote New World Translation Study Bible. [The Himalayas are not in Israel. Be careful not to believe every word you read, especially if money is involved.]

God's Perfume

I've heard of people who came back to life say that in the Kingdom of God aromatic fragrances waft in the air. God smells good. Spikenard was one of the fragrances Mary bought to honor Jesus Christ with it by wiping his feet and anointing His head. I love the fragrance therefore I call it "God's Perfume" Someday I will buy Myrrh and Frankinscence.

Small size. Not much scent. The scent that is there I am surprised at, because there's a faint scent of sulphur.Value? Still not entirely sure.The bottle and size are a good shape to carry around in my Bible bag.
