The Ancel S100 works great, and put out plenty of smoke. It's come in really handy with my classic cars and I was able to resolve some headlight door issues on my C3 Corvette. If you're on the fence about building your own smoker or buying one, this is a good option. Parts to build one are almost as much as this unit and I'd rather have something with controls.

I bought this for my shop to give to my workers for EVAP leaks. They love it so far and easy to use with baby oil and shop air to produce the smoke. I was skeptical at first but it seems to work well and i might order another one so our techs wont fight over it.. so glad I didn't have to shell out $800 or more for a tool truck brand

Ordered this to find a vacuum leak on my Porsche Cayenne. I can't believe how easy this was to operate and how quickly if found the issue. Vacuum line repaired and no issues. Smoke machine was super easy to operate and made a lot of smoke. Be sure to turn down the pressure on your compressed air, I turned down to about 20psi.

Worked good a couple times then it only produced smoke for about a minute and started blowing oil out the tube

The media could not be loaded. Works great! It takes about a minute to generate lots of smoke. There is a valve on the side to control the flow rate of the smoke.The on/off switch and valve is all you need to control this machine.The hissing in my video is from my external air fitting. The machine itself is quiet.Highly recommend this tool.

PROS: Simple to operate, inexpensive, blows a lot of smoke, & starts very quickly. You DON’T have to worry about adjusting your air-compressor as the machine regulates itself.CONS: I didn’t have a funnel like the product description recommends and made a mess. The “gauge” or view port to see how much oil in there works, BUT if you fill past it, you will overfill the machine b/c the view port is clear and so is your mineral oil. I’d use a flashlight and pour SLOWLY with your eye at the view port. I made a mess emptying it out and struggled with a greasy machine. If you use it for an extended period I *think* it gets too hot and stops making smoke. I could see the oil bubbling in the view port. I let it cool and using my air hose, blew out the line for the smoke. It had oil in it and may have kept it from operating correctly. Also, wipe down the port area where you fed smoke as mineral oil collects there. No real detailed instructions other than what’s on the box. There are videos online and that’s all you need. Did I mention get a funnel yet? GET ONE.

The media could not be loaded. I have used commercial leak detectors in the past, but this is the first at home unit I have owned. It works as good as the commercial units, at a lower price point, with a smaller footprint. I am including a video of the smoke machine testing my fuel tank on my race truck for a possible leak in the one way valve. I plan on buying an adapter soon to be able to test larger diameter tubes such as intakes and exhausts. I use regular baby oil and a plastic syringe to make the refill easier.

Pretty.Clean cut product that work as advertised.It is worth buying in my opinion.
