It works
I liked that I just had to load the 2 1TB drives into their slots ( Top Slot was source ) and also in my case set it to skip bad sectors ( not in the boot or file directory track ). around 4 hours later I took the SSD plugged it in and it booted up..much easier then using copy software and the host computer. It's a bit pricy but my time is worth it.

Keeps cool, user manual not that great,.
amazon delivered on schedule. Product is great and keeps cool. Problem is the users manual is for a different machine, so you needed to guess on what bay to place the source disk and which bay is for the target disk. Otherwise it is a great little machine.

Instructions could use a little more explanations..
Thanks to those who posted. It's helpful to know that you can't erase 2 hard drives though there are two bays. That's ok, I guess. I haven't been able to find out what the toggle button next to the drive bays is for. Anyone figure that out? I would give more stars, but I haven't gotten to use all the features yet.Decided to add on, this product doesn't work. Definitely not worth the $$. Only able to erase one HDD so far. Poor service, terrible manual.

Best HDD duplicator I could find on the market..
I use this HDD duplicator to clone entire operating systems + drivers to new HDD's making it very easy to upgrade. If you have a small SSD in your laptop, you can use this to easily upgrade to a much larger one. There is a nice "compare" feature which, after the transfer, ensures bit-by-bit that the transfer was successful with your data. This little (not so little..) duplicator is amazing and makes numerous jobs 10x easier.

The unit does safely copy SSD's and HDD's but there are issues to be considered.
First some history, this is the third Drive Duplicators I purchased in the last 2 years, the first one died, the second one just stopped working one day. Both of these drives duplicators that died were under $100.00 but I must say they were very fast. Now lets talk about the Systor unit, first the pro'sPro: This unit will safely clone SSD and HDD drives. Since the unit has a PC style power supply and a rear mounted case fan it circulates cool air around the drives as it copies. Drives remain cool and supplied voltages are regulated so your drives are safe. Easy to read back lit control panel that makes duplicating and options easy to select.Cons:First This unit is so VERY VERY slow and only copies about 5GB per minute ( I clocked it about 4.9Gbs per minute on enterprise quality drives).Second, the unit is loud, this is because of the large rear mounted fan which but some might consider this a pro because it keep the drives cool. The sound of the fan gets very old after running for 3 or 4 hours coping a large drive.Large drives will take hours to copy and a firmware bug prevents the percentage copied to blank out after 1 hour. So you have no idea how far along the copy process has completed. Plus, the firmware does properly identify SSD's form HDD's, the menus treat them the same, this I don't consider a big thing. I reported both bugs to the company but based on the response I got back from the company I seriously doubt anything will be done or a firmware update released.Third, the instructions included are for more expensive units with many multiple bays and don't cover this 2 drive unit. The menu's are not the same for the 2 bay unit and they leave it up to you figure out how to properly use it. The CD instruction provided are useless and wrong. This caused some confusion when it comes to erasing drives.I pointed this out to the company and suggested they post correct instructions on their web site. Again, I doubt they will do that either.Forth:The drive bays you slide the drives into are such poor quality and the sata connectors you slide the drives into can easily be damaged if you are not really very careful. Systor use Kingwin Universal combo Mobile Rack For 2.5" or 3.5" SSD/HDD which is really total junk and don't expect them to last for long. These bays are available from many sources and have a high return rate (not surprised). Considering how much I use this unit I plan on swapping these out once the duplicator is out of warranty.Final comment, I initially rated this unit much higher and I decided to downgrade this rating after owning and using it for a period of drive. My biggest gripe is the extremely slow copy rate and the ultra low quality cheesy mobile Sata racks used on the product. The operational bugs in the firmware I have pointed out to the company, so far I have seen no fix date on these problem, I get the impression from email correspondence from them that the problems will not be corrected. Conclusion for the money, Honestly, I would not purchase this same unit again and would look for a faster and higher quality duplicator. Featuring superior hardware, better technical support and a more polished bug free interface with instruction that were actually written for the unit I purchased.I will revisit and update this review if the company actually fixes the issues/bugs.

Great product and customer service
I am very happy with the disk duplicator. I have used it twice already and the copies are perfect. I took the advice of other reviewers to mark the source and destination drive bays so that I don't mix them up. Systor has great customer service. They told me that I did not need he adapters that I ordered with my disk duplicator before they shipped my duplicator. They are awesome!

Backup Only
First off its ok for backing up. Very Very Slow. But it will not or at least i have not found out how to copy any drive with it. It will copy but it will not copy and boot. I have called tech support and lets just say its not worth my time. I purchased this to make bootable master drives and make my life easier and it does not do that.

Good product, needs a firmware update to allow copying to a smaller destination drive.
The duplicator works well and I have used it many times to copy drives and provide DoD level erasing before discarding old drives. My only complaint so far is that it cannot copy a drive to a smaller drive. I tried copying 160 Gb drives to new 120 Gb SSD drives to improve performance on older computers, and it will not allow it giving an error that the new drive is too small. I contacted their tech support and they did not understand why anyone would want to copy to a smaller drive.
