Better than my trusty flat bar
I have a Stanley flat bar that I've been using for many years in a wide variety of applications that are too numerous to list. Nothing can or will replace it, including this flat bar. However this bar does have a couple unique features that will make it the better choice for some jobs specifically those that the it was designed for - removing trim, lifting floors and any type of prying where you need to protect the surface of the thing you are prying another thing off of. This flat bar is much wider which results in distributing the force over a much wider area and is much less likely to damage or leave indentations in the surface you are prying something from.I am in the process of replacing all the baseboard moldings on the first floor of my house as part of a refresh. I had been using my standard flat bar but because it is narrower I had to put piece of wood behind it where it contacted the wall to prevent it from marring or leaving indentations in the wall. I've found that this new flat bar, because of it's design and much wider surface area does the job quicker and without the need to put something behind it. It also has a sharper edge making it easier to get behind the wall trim. I can see this being very useful for other jobs such as lifting flooring just as the manufacturer suggested. It's not going to replace my existing flat bar for everything but will certainly have its place. The bar appears to be well made with a heavy, solid build so I suspect it will endure quite a bit of punishment (as it should). I didn't pick up on the fact that the handle has an internal thread protected by a screw in metal cap which would allow for a longer handle to be attached. I don't have any immediate need for this but if you are lifting flooring its a great feature that will allow you to work in a standing position rather than having to be on your knees. Overall this is a good flat bar and a good addition to my tool box.

The Best Baseboard Removal Tool
This review if for AS ASTARTECH Floor Lifter Baseboard Removal Multi-Tool Pro Bar. I picked this tool up for an upcoming remodel where I was going to need to remove a lot of baseboard. At first I was worried this tool wasn't going to work because of how thick and sturdy the metal is. After extensive use of this tool, I can easily say this is the best baseboard removal tool I have ever seen, and it is one of the best tools I have ever used. I was removing baseboard from freshly painted walls, so I used a thick, folded over section of cardboard behind it. I cut the paint with a blade (thin box knife) down the hole baseboard, then I used a rubber mallet to pound the tool down behind the baseboard. It worked like a champ, and I never damaged any of the freshly painted walls. The 15 degree wedged center easily popped the baseboard off. As soon as I got the tool worked down to the floor the baseboard just popped off. The leading edge also worked great as a scraper. I was able to remove tons of caulking and what seemed like a grout mixture that was adhered to a delicate, synthetic wood floor without doing any damage. I can't say enough good things about this tool.I also like the good nail puller, even though I would have liked to have seen a tighter V-notch to help remove finish & brad nails. I also like the removable screw nut to use this tool on and pole, which I presume would be for removing crown molding. But I would think I would rather be on a ladder for that. This tool is extremely solid and useful. This is easily a great tool for a pro or any home owner. I highly recommend this tool.

A beast that even has a gentle touch on baseboards.
Photo with soda can for scale on one foot tiles. This is a beast, much larger than expected. This arrived at my house and was in use within minutes. We are removing baseboard in order to install new flooring. We had one variety with the wedge part already, and frankly it is helpful to have more than one on long baseboards. The wedge part is helpful, sort of rotate the tool to pry it off.Pros:It is solid. You can hammer on this without worry. The end even has a metal cap.You can take that cap off and screw on an extension pole. The wedge part that is cut out does help to pry out the baseboard. This has a finer edge on the beveled part than the smaller one I own. .It actually smooshes the wallboard less than my smaller one .If you are doing brute force demo this matter less (Like removing the carpet tack edges, this helps with that too)
