Accurate and Easy to Use
I have not had much success with these type of devices over the years, however this device is on a different level.Within minutes of taking it out of the box, I was itching to try it out.Please read and follow the instructions.I hasten to add, I had a job waiting, where I needed to locate wooden stud behind plasterboard, immediately after the recommended calibration, the device located all that I needed within seconds, I even tried a couple of pilot holes to make sure.Location was essential, as I was fixing wall mounted cabinets.Old device now in the bin. Very good value for money, and easy to use.

Works well, simple to use and happy with results I’m finding. Good all round entry level stud finder

Important to recalibrate for each time you present to wall but works well!
Can appear to be very sensitive and give false positives for electric, metal or wooden batons but read the instructions and all is well. Simply recalibrate each time and test a positive source (electric cable etc) before using on defined wall. Can save a nasty accident by preventing unexpected drilling into live cables or metal etc.

Alerts are not very precise. Couldn't trust alerts for studs or wiring.

Bought this as I was putting stuff up and needed to find the studs in the wall. well this one wouldn't find anything at all don't waste your money on this

Very good product for DIY
We purchase this more than a month ago and it’s been very helpful on our renovations and DIY around the house. Very reliable and making the job easier. Highly recommended.

Poor performance
Works good for electric cables when calibrated but for using on plasterboard to find timber it gives false positive readings, I was unable to find any timber with this device despite reading the instructions and calibrating fully.
