Saved me hundreds!
This thing was an absolute bear to install into my 2006 Chevy Colorado, but I tell you what, it saved me tons of cash doing it myself! The starter has been in my trunk for about 2 weeks now and it seems like it's holding up and doing it's job quite well! I have zero complains thus far. The price was fantastic, shipping was fast and it seems like a quality component. The only issue I had was installing it into the truck, but that was only because of GM / Chevy's manufacturing choices and component placement. Hopefully I won't need to buy another one, but if I did, I certainly would.

Cheap yet quality
The media could not be loaded. Besides the fact that I wasn't able to get the starter from my local parts store nearly as quickly, I received this a day or two after seeing it was only half their cost, and once I got a good look at it realized it's brand new and not a remanufactured like the zone. After several hours of cuss words installing it in my 04 chevrolet colorado 3.5, it sounds and starts like factory.

For the money
Great starter for the money. Took 30 mins to install. I did notice a rattle when I rev the car off an idle which is annoying and wasn’t there prior to the starter being installed. I will have to double check the bolt and nut to make sure it was as tight as I thought it was. Overall that’s my only complaint with it so far

Works! Some tips for install...
Good value, the part I received was from a brand called WAI, says they are an American company but I assume the part is made in China. After I watched some videos on YouTube, I decided to give it a shot on my 2002 GMC Envot SLT. I recommend everyone to watch the YouTube vidoes or my tips below might not make sense.. note that below is not a complete guide and just some tips to help.People have done the install from the top, bottom and from the side through the front drivers wheel well flap. I had to do a combination of the top and drivers wheel well... quite frankly I'm not sure how others have done it 100% from the top unless you're a contortionist!I'm 5'11, with lanky arms, so I was able to do most of the removal and install from the top. The two nuts on the solenoids can be accessed from the top easy. The lower bolt that secures the starter to the block I had to get to it from the driver side wheel well flap relatively easy after jacking the car up and removing the wheel. By the way, never trust a jack to hold a car while you're working on it, always make sure to use jack stands. There is one more 15mm nut that holds the starter to the block toward the top of the starter. This one nut literally took me 45 minutes to remove. I just couldn't get a good angle to get my socket on it. After a lot of trial and error I actually found LOWERING the jack and stands lower than where the car normally would sit with the tire gave me the best angle to get my socket (you'll need an extension to do this, total length including socket was about 6 inches). Once I did this I was able to get the nut out in 5 minutes.Once the nut was out, the starter was easy to remove, instead of pulling it out from the top, i just decided to drop it to the ground since there were no wires below, and I was afraid maybe I might snag on something trying to pull it out from the top. I did install the new starter from the top.The install was reverse of the above, one other tip I want to mention is the starter cable contacts were very close together. After installing it, take a photo of it with your phone and make sure the wires aren't shorted together (touching) as you won't be able to see it from the top.Hope these tips helped!

Works well
It was a little loud when starting for a couple of weeks. It’s been in my car for about 6 months now and it’s more quiet starts my 2003 trailblazer every time.

If you’re buying one of these you have my sympathy
Only been a few days but starter works like it should. Removing the old and installing this through the wheel well was probably $800 cheaper than having a shop do it but it was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done to a vehicle. Granted if I had to do a second time (knock on wood) it would take half the time. Also the price is over $100s cheaper than getting one from a box store. Plus having the old starter to get rebuilt is a bonus for a backup
