Great banneton bowls.
I saw these used on an Instagram page and thought I would try them. I love that they are all natural. I got the Bulka Large Round 9" 1kg Groove Banneton ones. I use them for my sourdough bread making. I like that they don’t use a liner and the bread doesn’t stick to the sides and bottom of it. Bread Proofing Basket Pressed Wood Pulp, Sourdough Proofing Basket - Non-Stick Bread Proofing Bowl Sourdough Bread. I love the design on the bread from the bowl. I also like supporting a small company. Great idea and a great job. I bought the round one and the oblong one and they both have lasted great.

Perfect proofing basket
Love the banneton bread basket but seems small for 500g of flour! Love how easy the bread comes out of basket and you don’t need to season it. Wish I had ordered a bigger one!I’m very happy that this company explain the size of the banneton basket was for 500g but only when you weigh it out after. So this is why I was thinking it was too small, so I will be purchasing the bigger one since the finished product would weigh more than 500g! Very pleasant to work with them. Love the sturdiness of the basket and how easy your bread comes out!Ordered the larger 9” proofing basket and this one is just perfect for my 500g flour. After the company explained that a finished product weigh more and that’s going to fit a basket by weight and not just grams ! Made a loaf yesterday and it came out of so nice and perfect! These proofing baskets are the greatest! For the cost they are worth every penny.

Best of the Best
Fabulous Banneton. Have always before used rattan with linen liner for my sourdough. Have been reading about the woodpulp ones from Germany and so many leaders in sourdough recommend them. Decided to make the splurge and it was so worth it. A simple light sprinkle of rice flour. Bread does not stick, releases easily. Simple to clean just let dry and brush it out. Will get several more shapes and sizes. I am a believer.

Best on the market!
This is the banneton I have used. I bake bread every weekend and I have tried both the long one and the round one. Worked better than my previous ones.The material does not stick to the dough naturally so you need very little flour.I love that is a solid piece and has no holes so I don’t make a mess when I sprinkle with flour.It absorbs moisture so it keeps the dough in a perfect environment. I proof in the fridge overnight and all my loafs have come out great.I wish I have gotten this earlier.

Awesome, welll made banneton—nonstick!
I began my sourdough journey this past year and purchased two Bulka bannetons, round and oval. I have never had a problem with my high hydration dough sticking. The key is to dust the Bulka with fine white rice flour, which can be purchased inexpensively at Asian markets. No need for a liner or towel! After use and air drying, my bannetons clean easily with a stiff pastry brush. Highly recommend this well made, quality item.

Great bowl, wish it was smaller or had steeper sides
I got this bowl after my regular bamboo one was SPLINTERING. I'm not gonna use something that may leave splinters in my bread. I love that it's made from pulp and has no potential for splintering! It also releases dough well.I just wish the shape was less big/shallow and that it had a smaller center and steeper sides so as to allow for the bowl to be used with small loaves as well as big ones. I use Elaine Boddy's recipes (with 500g flour) and this bowl was just too big and shallow for them. It did work well when I doubled the batch, but I was wanting to use it for the smaller ones too. Guess I need yet another banneton for those. 🤪
