Birch syrup... Yum!
These are nice and moist. Very nice gift. It does taste a little different, so it ends up being a nice treat.

Interesting taste
I have had most of the flavors of these cakes but this is the first time for this one. It’s a bit different. It tasted more like dark corn syrup or molasses to me. I am glad I tried it but I won’t reorder it. It was dryer than the other flavors I have had and just not my cup of tea.

Delicious
On a Carnival Cruise to Alaska, I was able to get one of these cakes. After opening and eating it, it was so good that I wish I had got another to bring home as a gift from Alaska. I was stoked to see it here on Amazon for about the same price and I was able to order it and have it arrive about the same time I got back from my cruise. I was able to give it as a gift "from Alaska." Get one and try it. You won't be disappointed.

BE AWARE, THIS IS A TINY CAKE FOR ONE!! Rip-off price!
I just received this cake today. All I can say is, when I get round to opening & eating, it better damn well be delicious & worth every rip-off price penny for such a tiny cake. This thing might, skimpily, serve two. I wish I'd paid attention & notice the tiny 4oz weight. I could make two full size very good Bundt cakes for the cost of this puny thing. Years ago, I'd sampled Tortuga cakes & they were decent, but not the price of this thing. The reason I bought this one was the Birch Syrup. I love the taste of birch beer & thought I'd give this a try.Even if it is delicious, I doubt I would spend that kind of money again on such a tiny little cake.UPDATE: I opened the cake from it's clear plastic outer wrap, box & inner vacuum package. OMG, this thing is TINY!! This has to be one of the biggest rip-offs on Amazon. This cake is not a high end fancy gourmet dessert, it's a very simple Bundt type cake. I am a big foodie & accomplished cook & have cooked professionally catering private dinners etc. I do know food. This is a very average cake & there is no aroma or flavor of birch syrup. Tastes like a sort of mild gingerbread spice cake. The cake is not horrible, but nothing special. It definitely does not merit the $12.19 price. I ate a couple bites but found it on the bland & ever slightly dry side. I splashed it with some Frangelico. I WILL NEVER BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER TORTUGA CAKES AGAIN, DEFINITELY NOT AT THE PRICES THEY CHARGE!
