Having this frame instead of a plastic insert is perfect for how I use it- long periods in the sun. Less 'case' means more exposure to airflow. The Hero 4 has not overheated once since I started using this. I use it for live streams for 7+ hours outdoors, most of those hours in direct sun. The protective lens cover fits snugly and works great. Good product!

This is a great after-market frame at a nice price point and fits my Hero 3+ perfectly - the tolerances are spot on and all camera functions are fully exposed. At first, it's a little disconcerting to have to bend the plastic frame to slide the camera in, but the plastic is made to deform enough that you soon get over that. The filter and lens cap are a nice addition for added protection when not using the skeleton.

It came with everything needed. Only downside is that you have to bend the flexible plastic out a ways to get the go pro into it. Over time with sun and warm exposure...this plastic will eventually wear and weather and break. It has already hardened up from a lot of outdoor use this summer.

I have disconnected to my wheelchair arm. It works great. I love it. I use my GoPro silver four with it in it it’s just wonderful. Would definitely buy it again if it ever broke.
