Wish I'd found this sooner!
I have a beautiful, expensive L desk with a keyboard drawer, and found I was having shoulder and neck pain from poor ergonomics. I removed the drop-front for the keyboard drawer to install this extender, and already I can feel the difference. For one thing, I can actually recline in my office chair and type. Before, I was hunched over the keyboard tray. My mouse is also within closer reach, thanks to the cutout that creates a wraparound layout. What's also great is that this can be folded down and out of the way, which helps when I need to sit facing the main part of the L-Desk, or if I need to access the contents of the drawer on that side.My only criticism is that it could stand to be a bit wider. Ideally, you want your keyboard right in front of you, but if you do that with a standard-sized keyboard, there's no room for a mouse. Thankfully, I use a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard (no numberpad), so there's enough room to mouse comfortably. The black padded cover, btw, makes a great mouse pad!If they ever come up with a wider version, I will buy it!Update: I've been using it on and off as my desk setup has evolved. Still sturdy, still in like-new condition.I'm currently using it with a new sit/stand desk. I love that this allows me to route some of my input accessory cables UNDER the desk to keep things tidier. It's no longer quite wide enough, unfortunately, so my large (plastic) mousepad isn't fully supported - which is only really a problem when my cat tries to jump up onto it!Was disappointed to see how much the price has increased. Presumably more of the "COVID Tax" we're seeing on office products with everyone working from home. I would not have purchased this for its current price, but YMMV.

functional and sturdy
I've had this for months now and it remains as sturdy as day one. I lean into it a bit at times as well, and it's holding up very nicely. At this desk, I wanted to get backed up away from my monitors on the stand because I couldn't push them back further. It works well for that purpose. The pad surface is soft to the touch yet has a sturdy cloth-like firmness, so it's not too soft and spongy, which allows the mouse to glide very nicely on it. There's room for the larger mouse base, a little wrist rest, and I can use the full-size keyboard without knocking the mouse off the end. In the slightly declined position, it's at a great angle and height where I can rest my wrist on the pad and my elbow and upper forearm on the padded armrest comfortably.I'm big on ergonomics and functionality, and this product is working great for what I need.

Pleasantly surprised with this
I have a small space that I am using as a home office and to extend my tiny desk have added a folding table next to it. I got this to add to that part of my setup when I need to shift after sitting all day. I do like that it folds up (luckily my table is tall enough that my legs don't hit it when down, but if you have a short table/high chair this might be an issue for you)It is relatively comfortable, and though has seemed really solid, still is something I am not comfortable putting a ton of weight on (though it seems like it could handle a fair amount). The spring noise when raising or lowering is so loud that it upsets and startles my pups, but considering the other options out there, this has been a decent fit for my unique needs.

Wonderful addition to work space
This purchase has allowed me to work eight hours a day at my computer with absolute support for my arms. I was getting terrible elbow and shoulder pains as I sat and wrote for extended periods of time. My massage therapist suggested I get a new desk. I have no budget or space for a larger desk in my office so adapting my current space was my only choice. This is an excellent solution that is affordable, easy to install and amazingly supportive. Give it a try.

Great Ergonomic Armrest...
I have a small square adjustable desk (purchased from Amazon - SDADI 2 Inches Carpet Wheel Mobile Stand Up Desk Height Adjustable Home Office Desk With Standing and Seating 2 Modes 3.0 Edition). and needed something extra. This desk which is 24" wide. The clamps are about 2 " in on each side and are about 1 1/2" deep so they fit perfectly. It was easy to set up/install and use (directions included). Yes, it cost almost as much as the desk; however, it was worth it to find something that was the right size, ergonomically viable and folds down when not in use. I do not use as it shows in the picture as arms need to be at a 90 degree. I put the keyboard on the armrest and let my arms sit comfortably at 90 degrees. I'm a certified ergonomics tech and recommend this item.

Alright
Didn't work for me, I couldn't clamp it down because of the desk I had. Still a decent product just not for my desk type.

It cracks
It is confortable but I expected something faster to install and easier when folding the arm support. At first it looked good and of good quality. Weirdly, after 2 weeks of use it starts cracking like someone cut it with a knife. I now have long crack in the middle. Dissapointing because it was not cheap.

Easy To Put Together
This item is exactly as described. It's easy to put together, sturdy, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It doesn't come with its own screwdriver, so you'll need your own phillips-head screwdriver. It also won't work if your desk has an L-shape, so you'll have to put it on part of the desk that's straight. But other than that, it's great. It comes with picture instructions, but you won't need them. One look at the three parts and it's self-explanatory how to assemble them. The leather pad is a nice cushion for your forearms.
