JUST GOT THIS THE OTHER DAY AND SO FAR SO GOOD, THE PROGRAM DISC THAT CAME WITH IT, IT,S A PIECE OF JUNK IT WAS MEDIA SUITE 10 THEN I PUT IT ON AND RESTARTED MY PC I LOST ALL MY DRIVERS SO I HAD NO WAY OF PLAYING A MOVIE DISC TO SEE IF EVERYTHING WORKS, SO I HAD TO UNINSTALL IT AND GO THE THE CYBERLINK WEB SITE AND DOWN LOAD THE NEWER VERSION AND EVERYTHING WORKS FINE WENT TO THE PIONEER SITE AND DOWNLOADED THE UPDATE FIRMWARE. I HAVEN,T TRIED TO DO A 4K DISC YET. WILL GET BACK TO JUST LEARNING HOW TO OPERATE THE DRIVES AND PROGRAMS 1ST.

Very nice device, I bought it recently to do 4k film burning, and I was surprised, his writing speed is very fast. Then, I also use it to watch Blu-ray movies on my computer, and I find that the quality of the player is better than the one I have on my TV. The installation is done without problem on my pc (running with windows 10). The program provided with the player is also very nice, I used to use windows media player, but now I use Media Suite 10 completely, which I find is faster and allows me to access the contents more easily. Very happy with my purchase.

Amazon should have negative stars. This product is the only one in the market. This is normally an advantage. Being the first to market gives companies and products a great advantage. However this product really sucks. It makes a good Blu-ray drive but not 4K. It wouldn't work with the software provided. I went and bought the latest version of Cyberlink which claims it supports 4K drives. Well it doesn't. After many hours of work when one reboots the PC it will take over 1 minute to boot. Somehow the drive is looking for the drive and it can't find it and just seats on a black screen forever. I bought 4 4K movies. The drive recognizes the movie as being 4K but will never play it. STAY AWAY from this product.

This doesn't come with any media support, but I did get Cyberlink with my motherboard. When you try to play 4K discs, you are told that it isn't supported at this time. Otherwise, the drive works fine with Blu-Ray discs.

This Blu Ray, (This product is a bundle.), as stated on the instructions was delivered to me 15 minutes ago.Having 40 years of manufacturing and engineering procedures/quality experience, I can tell that is not used. I checked it under different lighting angles.1. The box was not inside another protective box.2. Screws and SATA Cables were not included3. Software was included.Long story short:It passed my QA tests without me having my usual tools that can do even further inspection with more accurate results.All I cared was: To be brand new and not used.I might update my review if I find out that it doesn’t work properly too.Thank youI give it 5 out of 5 for now, because I do have screws, power cable and SATA cable from other purchases.

This cannot play true 4K content without purchasing an additional 80$ software. Paying this much for a disc player that should certainly be included. They are taking advantage of this being one of the only of it its kind on the market.

Mistake that i didn't read the 1 star reviews first before buying. This product is specifically made for SGX Intel Motherboards, only if you want to run 4K ULTRA, will not support AMD Motherboards, big disappointment with PIONEER, Big waste of time, but not money wasn't wasted, cause i am returning this product immediately, I wanted 4k ULTRA but unfortunately i wasn't being clever about researching.BLU-RAY will run just fine on my pc of course, this product is misleading.
