So simple a child or mechanically inept boyfriend can put it together! Every piece was wrapped in plastic wrap so it wouldn't be damaged and it even came with its own lightbulb!! Perfect for small spaces -I got two, one for each side of the sofa. (Update now have four and ordering two darker colored ones for bedroom next week.) Great alternative to bulky end tables and lamps. We have 800 sq ft apartment so these are perfect for our space. Further it matches ikea expedit (cube shelves) birch color perfectly (I got the light color lamps.) I can't say enough great about these lamps. The light they give off is very comforting and lovely. Only thing I would suggest is buy two because the wattage (60 watts led bulb) is not enough really to read by because it is diffused by the lamp shade. If you have two, the light is good to read by. I am even thinking about maybe buying another one of these for my office area. This does not come with tools. You will need a philips screwdriver. I used an ikea electric screwdriver. Worked perfectly.

The assembly was soooo easy. Everything fit together perfectly to my surprise. Quality is very good, but I think the price point is a little high. That being said, I will buy another one to have a matching pair in the LR. The LED that comes with it puts out good light but I would like it a little brighter so I'll replace the bulb with a higher wattage one at some point. Overall I am pleased with the purchase, assembly was a piece of cake and the lamp looks very good!*Update*In my original review I mentioned that the price point was a little high for the quality. I paid $56.99 for mine in the middle of June 2018 and I really like the lamp, so much so that I clicked my past orders to buy again. When I did, I nearly fell over when I saw the lamp's price had not dropped but WENT UP to $74.99!!! OMG how is that possible in 3 months? At $56 I can do 5 stars, which is pushing it, but at $75, no, dropped to 2 stars until the price returns to reality.UPDATE: Back to 5 stars, price is now less than what I paid originally. Had these lamps since 2019 and they are still great and very glad we purchased them!!!

Very easy to assemble and looks great in my bedroom. Thinking to order another one. No complaints whatsoever.

Coming up with a review for this lamp was... not easy.On the one hand, it's really a cheap piece of junk. If you're the kind of person who thinks that all Ikea furniture is flimsy garbage, then just run far, far away. The construction of this lamp/shelf is worse in every way than the cheapest stuff you'll find there. I'm the kind of person who thinks that well-assembled flatpack furniture ranges from fine to great, and I still find the materials used in this lamp to be unacceptably cheap. The veneer is inconsistent and scratches off easily, the engineered wood is shockingly flimsy, and the whole thing is too light to offer any kind of stability. The shade also absorbs a huge amount of light, so it's pretty dim, too.On the other hand, you won't find this style of lamp much cheaper anywhere else, and the slightly pricier versions at big-box retailers have the exact same quality issues. It also looks good... from a distancee. If you want something that can act as a display case while providing a bit of light, then this is a cheap and good option. If you need more light, then a bulb Y-splitter will increase the light level from "poor" to "acceptable." Assembly is also very easy and the instructions are clear. The cheap materials do mean that you need to be careful during while building it since it's not hard to scratch the veneer or even damage the poles.Would I recommend it? Sure, with caveats. I wouldn't use it as a nightstand or end table where you'll routinely be messing with stuff on the shelves. It's just too flimsy and it really does feel like you'll knock it over if you touch it. If you're going to put it on carpet, then get some spikes or something. In general, I would strongly recommend placing something heavy on the bottom shelf for stability. I've got a decorative wood box on the second shelf and I think the box is heavier than the entire lamp. I'd also recommend using smart bulbs just because I don't trust the pull chain to last.All that said, it's a nice display piece and it does look really, really good as long as you don't inspect it too closely. It provides nice mood lighting for a room, and with a bulb splitter it can be a decent primary light for a small-ish space. It's also not any cheaper or crappier than the very, very similar lamps that cost twice as much. If you know what you're buying and you're okay with the flaws, then it's good for the price.

It fits perfectly in an area that needed some light in a space of my living room that I wasn't sure how to utilize in my apartment. It's very easy to put together and very versatile in what you can place on it. The brightness and heat of the bulb is just the amount it needs to be. I wanted something that I could turn on and have a little light on when watching a movie. I didn't buy one that has a USB port, so I can't review that. The material is light weight, but sturdy. I would definitely buy another one.

J'aime bien cette lampe. Évidemment, tel que mentionné dans d'autres commentaires, le fil de la prise est au beau milieu de la lampe, donc il faut trouver soi-même la façon de le cacher le plus possible. Elle était facile à installer mais je conseille de ne pas trop visser et arrêter lorsque ça fait ''crac''. Pour le reste, c'est parfait.

This product is well worth its value in regards to quality, practicability and design.

I am super happy with the light diffusion. It was easy to set up but you have to be careful to not split the wood when screwing. It is cheap wood but it is expected for the price. It is a bit wobbly. Wouldn’t survive around kids and pets. If you want to set it in a corner and never touch it though, it will do the job.

Love this. Looks great and was easy to put together.
