I bought several different types of dinosaur parts, from complete skeletons to the skulls featured here. All are easy to clean, which makes them ideal for sandbox play. I bury the "fossils" and the kids use a sand sifter, small shovels, etc...to carefully excavate their dinosaur fossils. Excitement ensues.Between that and reading some dinosaur themed books and perhaps even watching a dinosaur documentary ( or althernately, playing with their dinosaur toys and games) the kids have fun while learning a bit more about their latest passion- all things dinosaurs.

These dinosaur skulls are high quality and show a lot of realistic detail in the design. My husband is a geologist and he was impressed with the quality. We planned a summer picnic for nieces and nephews (5 years to 7 years old). They loved it! When they found the skulls, they were so excited and we helped them identify the type of dinosaur it was. The only drawback with these skulls is that they do not come with an identification sheet. While my husband knew most of them, we had to look them up on Google for the correct names. At this price, this is a great variety of skulls through different ages of the mesozoic. In it, you'll find one of each: Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor, Dracorex, Carnotaurus, Triceratops, Dilophosaurus, Oviraptor, Parasaurolophus, Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, and Nigersaurus (I wish they had been labeled on the Toob). The set I received is painted darker than is pictured here, but they look very nice. They are slightly pliable--not at all brittle--and I think they would hold up very well to being played with or dropped on the floor.

These skulls are AWESOME. They are as detailed and realistic as anything this size could possibly be. We had a dinosaur/fossil party, and we stuck one of these on top of each cupcake along with some chocolate sprinkles -- they were a huge hit. And my kids were delighted to keep the extras. This would make a great gift for any dinosaur fan, especially the one who already has lots of dinosaur stuff.

A very good tool in teaching the young one about the animals that lived long ago. A good selection of different types, these skulls make it easy to visualize the great dinosaurs as you talk about the various types. I recommend such thing for any parent.

These were PERFECT for our Dinosaur dig birthday party. The children dug them up and was studding the bones of each of the dinosaurs. They are not cheap plastic and I think they will hold up well in the sandbox. It was shipped and came quickly and in good condition.

came with two brachiosaur skulls, and missing the carnotaurus skull. correct # of skulls, just one got swapped while packing i guess. i bought this for three other particular skulls and since they were in there, im happy but if the one particular skull in the set i was looking for had been the one missing i'd be super annoyed.safari is awesome with their products, this seems to have just been a packaging error i guess.

These are a gift for my 5 year old grandson for Christmas, so not given them to him yet, but I am impressed with them. Sturdy and I think he'll be delighted. Dinosaur mad.
