I purchase one pair of “El Paso” pillow covers. They arrived promptly and each pillow cover was separately packaged in a recyclable plastic cover. The colors of the design I ordered, compared to the photo on Amazon were an exact match. The pillow covers I received are comprised of a thick 90% wool/10% polyester weaving on the front, sewn to a classy black fabric back (they are NOT patterned on both front and back). The back has an opening across the middle, with a Velcro closure that goes ALL the way across from one side to the other (not just a few short segments that gap open). This is so you can insert a pillow form, which does NOT come with the covers! The pillow covers I ordered were big enough that I could have purchased 20x20” inserts for them. If you look inside the covers you can see that the colorful fronts are probably placemat textiles/weavings that have been turned into pillows - INSIDE there’s “fringe” visible on two opposing sides (don’t worry; you cannot see this when the pillow cover is closed)I am very pleased with the quality of this product. The lovely geometric pattern is actually WOVEN, not painted or screen printed on the fabric. These pillow covers are somewhat stiff so definitely not for sleeping on! I’ve purchased a number of the “El Paso Saddleblanket” labeled textiles and have owned several of them for many years and can tell you that they seem to wear well. As they are of high wool content, I wouldn’t toss them in the washer, but take them to be dry cleaned when needed.Caveat emptor: these are NOT Native American-made products. Note that the wording of the description simply talks about “southwest” and/or “western” styles. Please do not purchase these pillow covers thinking you’re getting an authentic First Nations product; you’re not. The tags clearly read “made in India”. DO purchase these pillow covers if you’re looking for charming well-made items for your rustic cabin and/or southwest desert style decor, and you are okay with the products’ country of origin. They are classy and fit our home decor very well.

These pillows have great patterns and look great but the natural fibers are really itchy — I would not lay my face on it. I knew this when I bought them hoping they will get softer with time and more washes so this isn’t the reason for my mediocre rating. My issue is the velcro in the back of the pillow - for what these pillow cases cost, I would hope to get a decent quality zipper. Since i’ve already washed them a couple times, I won’t try to return them but overall this purchase was disappointing.

I have a new pewter colored couch and wanted some fun southwest style pillows. I'm very picky about what I get and I prefer natural fabrics. I got the night and day color and WoW is all I can say. These are wonderful. There is a light grey color that is close enough to the pewter color that the pillows perfectly accent. They add a pop of color, pattern and texture. Very happy with my purchase and when I see more color/patterns that I like become available from this brand I will be getting them. It's always fun to be able to change out your pillows periodically to get a fresh look. I can use the same pillow inserts and just rotate the covers.

These are well made, but rough, Navajo-style pillows. The weaves are very thick, like the scratchiest wool sweater you ever avoided wearing, but they would be fine for decoration or people wearing clothing around them.We are returning ours, however, because the colors are not at all as depicted. The weave is much darker in person, and what appears to be a bright vibrant orange in the photos is actually a dingy brick red. Both patterns we ordered are significantly less attractive in person than their photos make them seem. The photos are well over-lit, so if you want to know what they really look like, turn your monitor down to its darkest setting. Even then you may be disappointed.

We needed two southwestern-style throw pillows 18x18 as a finishing touch for our living room. We wanted colors and a design that would enhance the Native American style and colors of the room. We were very pleased to find El Paso Designs Throw Pillow covers on Amazon. These covers are excellent quality wool and offer wonderful authenticsouthwestern designs in a variety of beautiful, bold colors. As these are pillow covers only, you'll have to purchase throw-pillow inserts to stuff them. You will really love the colors and designs of these pillow covers.

So I am rating this a 5 because I am thrilled with the quality. I am keeping it even though the "navy blue" parts in the photo are really a charcoal grey. There is actually no blue at all on this pillow other than the turquoise color.It still goes with my decor, so I am keeping it.Don't be worried about how the back looks with the velcro, it is actually better than the photo shows. And a nice strong canvas type fabric.

These covers are exactly as depicted on website, with vibrant colors. Since I recently moved, with a change in decor, I have a lot of pillows which no longer work with my decor. These covers are perfect, since I can re-use my pillows by slipping them into these covers. Note that these covers are made with a heavy, woolen, "saddle blanket" type fabric and definitely do not make a "cuddly" pillow. So, I have a couple of these on my sofa along with several other soft, fluffy, pillows. I have used 17" as well as 18" pillows as inserts, and both sizes work fine, since these covers are stiff and retain their shape.

I REALLY liked these pillow covers. However...I didn't realize they were wool...too itchy on my back since I don't wear a shirt in the house. Too hot here in Yuma, Arizona. Highly recommend these if you're looking for a pillow cover that is wool. Designs and colors are GREAT.PS...I bought four more that aren't wool from the same seller and they're as good looking as the wool ones. :o)

It is unbelievable to send out crap like that to customers this seller should not trash Amazon good reputation. The pillow case is a cheap polyester and the print is digitally copied from a real woven wool cover, what a insulting experience I had, and crap arrived late.
