Good taste / quality
Its very good quality for the price. It has a good taste and very good color. It is 70mg of caffine/tbsp of powder (similar to 1 shot of espresso or 4oz coffee) so do keep that in mind when ordering. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a better quality matcha than what is used at Starbucks!
This product is better than the matcha powder mix used at Starbucks! Starbucks uses a 51% sugar mix with questionably sourced matcha/sencha making up the other 49%. It has no tea flavor as it's basically just sweetened milk. If you've come to matcha through the Starbucks lens, this is NOT that product. It's what you should be drinking instead! When I've tried to get matcha powder locally at the grocery store, I've not been able to find one that is the same quality as this in such a value size quantity. For size reference, I'm pretty sure this size bag could last one person 3mos even if they were drinking a matcha latte everyday. This matcha here packs a bolder flavor, a better boost of energy, and more mental clarity without the crash that you'd have from coffee. It is unsweetened, which gives you the freedom to make the final product (latte, smoothie, whatever) as sweet or unsweet as you like. The powder is ULTRA fine, and is about the consistency of powdered sugar. It dissolves wonderfully in a few ounces of the liquid of your choice (I prefer oatmilk), and it suspends very nicely and does not sink to the bottom when at rest for a few moments. All around highly recommend. Unless you're Japanese and have had that real good stuff and would know the difference, this is probably good enough for most people.

Good quality
This is so good. Like, really good. I take a scoop to put in my cup, and blend with a little cold milk. It froths up like no one’s business, and then I add hot water and mix a little. It is absolutely perfect for morning. Delicious and fluffy and dense at the same time (the density is like a velvety French press coffee). No sugar necessary.

Worth the money
I'm inexperienced with matcha... Just wanted to order some good matcha, only to discover all of these obscure classifications and prices varrying wildly. Before this brand, I ordered ceremonial and also "culinary cafe" from the jade brand. Couldn't really taste a significant difference, so I didn't sweat purchasing this. There is a difference with this: the higher quality matchas did foam more when mixing and had slightly thicker consistency, and tasted a bit less grassy. This brand actually tastes fantastic, if you don't mind a very subtle grassy but sweet flavor. The savory sweet flavor dominates in a good way; grassy is very much still nothing more than an afterthought. But - and a very significant but - it hardly foams after mixing. So, the viscosity of the liquid when mixed, although enjoyable, leaves something to be desired. That said, like a good salesman the seller points out that this mathca is unusual because of its concentration on being organic, even at the expense of whatever desirable flavor profile could be contributed by pesticides, lead, radiation etc. Perhaps this is an exaggeration... Nevertheless I take comfort in their emphasis on safety anyway. It's definitely more affordable, being around $1 an ounce. Thanks for keeping other matcha brands honest...So I recommend the value absolutely. But it you want the best of the best, I just don't know enough to give you a good answer.

Very good matcha
I have tried before Matcha teas that I bought directly from Japan and this one is up there with the best.Since is not written on the package or description that this is "ceremonial grade", I was expecting a bit of bitterness or fishy flavor, but to my surprise there is none.I tried it even straight with just hot water and it tastes smooth, something that the majority of the Matcha teas do not, they always have a bit of bitter/weed flavor that makes them unpleasant to drink unless they are mixed with something.I had tried before their "culinary" grade Matcha and it was good but had all those flavor characteristic of most matcha, this version which is called "premium first harvest" is definitely better for just a small increase in price and much less pricey than other Matcha that are defined Ceremonial grade. Also, it mixes super well with water and lattes of various kind.

ALMOST DIED
I have been using other organic matcha brands for several months. I bought this much cheaper macha in Amazon.I consumed this matcha before I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning…I knew something was wrong in my chest area… the palm of my hand wasextremely had a chilling effect..something I never experienced before. I never got admitted in a ER or went to hospital for me, but I immediately knew I had to goto hospital.Severe pain in my chest and my breathing became very difficult and I got immediately admitted in ER.I was in hospital for about 4 hrs, I was continuing to struggle for breathing and my chest pain like I never experienced before. The EKG came out Ok and then after I was given Aspirin, then my paid got reduced and I was checked out of ER.Then that evening, I consumed this matcha, then I started experiencing the same pain and chilling effect, then after a few hrs, it went away. Until this point, I didn’t know if was from the matcha. Then the next day I consumed this matcha, I started getting the same effect that led to my research on this matcha…looking at the negative reviews and I sawReviews talking about metal and lead content. Then I researched on what lead does to heart. You can see “Lead exposure can increase the risk of heart disease by damaging the heart muscle and increasing blood pressure. ”This product should be OFF THE SHELF IMMEDIATELY.
