I bought this kit as well as the unicorn slime kit from Baby Mushroom and we had a similar experience, which was fantastic. My 6 year old son loved the outside of the box and was excited to do sciency-slime. Like I mentioned in the other review, we've purchased so many kits from amazon over the years (slime, bouncey balls, bath bombs, etc) and the outside of the box makes it look like you're able to create the coolest things but they never come out that way and my kids are always disappointed. The ingredients have always looked cheap / possibly dangerous, the kits never have enough ingredients to really play with it, something crucial needed to make it is always missing so we have to stop what we're doing to go hunt it down, and/or the instructions are really unclear. This kit is the 100% OPPOSITE of everything just described. Everything you could possibly need to make all of the slime experiments came inside the box down to the tiniest measuring spoons. The instructions were super clear and even had instructions to do science experiments with a few of the packing peanuts that came with it! Very cool!!! The ingredients were very high quality and super impressive - it came with thermochromic powder to make color changing slime, which I've been eyeing to buy for a while but haven't because its kind of pricey. That was the first one we made and it came out perfectly! This is a great birthday gift for the 6-8 year old set - you know you aren't giving a box of junk! Highly recommend!!

Who doesn’t like to actually MAKE slime? It mixes fun with science!What makes this Slime Kit different is that it actually pulls on the science aspect of it to teach how to play with polymers and create strange states of matter. The last couple pages of the recipe booklet break down the chemistry of polymers. Very cool! Plus, there is a bonus recipe for ooblek on the last page.Recipes include Basic PVA Slime, Glow in the Dark Slime, Color Changing Slime, Bouncy Gel Ball, Silly Putty, Fluffy Putty.You can also save the foam packing that was in the kit for extra experiments; there is a loose paper in the box that explains this.My youngest son and I delved right in and make Fluffy Puffy by adding some shaving gel / cream (not included) with a bit of safe blue dye (not included); most likely going to make this into a textured slime later by adding some tiny Styrofoam balls in one of my craft drawers.Great kit that all my kids have enjoyed including my older ones.

It's a cool looking kit but the directions are lacking in amount of each ingredient. Akai the small book that comes with it calls the activator borax solution, took a bit to figure out what it meant. The printing is a bit overlapping as well so made some steps hard to read. There is no "contents" listed so we have a few packets we have no idea what they are. Just clear beads that don't seem to do anything. Texture maybe? We had fun but it was really messy until we stopped trying to understand directions and just did it own thing.

The media could not be loaded.  Really really love! this Slime kit. I wouldn’t waste my time reviewing a slime kit but I felt I found something different that adds more value which I think other moms can relate to. For me as a mom the fact that this kit includes a scientific explanation about the slime and has a lab set up made me feel like I got them an educational gift and made my daughters get into a scientific mode rather than a quick sticky mix up which goes away to the garbage the next day ( I had this with other brands). The quality of the ingredients and packaging is awesome , lots of options and ideas ( my daughter shares it in the video she thought was really important to upload :) both girls(6,10)thought the “packing peanuts “ experiment is super cool and we are definitely going to buy it for their nieces (6,7yrs old) for the holidays! Highly recommended! Enjoy!

We got this for our 8 year old nephew for his birthday as a gift we could do with him. We did most of the "recipes" but only the foamy one was really worth playing with. All the others we had a hard time getting it to not be too sticky not matter how much borax we added. Even the silly Putty was still to sticky. But he loved adding glitter, glow in the dark, and the little balls to all the slimes. Reading the science behind it all was really cool although I think it's more at a 9 or 10 year old attention level for that part.

My daughter came home from school with slime and her older brothers were jealous she got to do something so fun. I found this kit and got it for them. They had a great time. At first they wanted me to do it for them, but they started reading through the booklet and found they could do it themselves. The had so much fun deciding which recipes to do and enjoyed the freedom to personalize their slime with glitter, foam balls, or glow in the dark powder.

Great slime making kit! As a busy mom, I seriously appreciated having everything we need to make slime with my 6-year-old daughter right there in one box. No more hunting in all our cupboards for the last bit of glue or messing up my dishes with experiments! Perfect amount of supplies to make several batches of slime. Nicely packaged and extremely clear directions. We enjoyed doing this together on a rainy winter day! We found sometimes we had to add more Borax liquid than expected to get the consistency we wanted, which was a great way to learn about chemistry. Our favorite part was the slime add-ins -- glow powder, finely ground glitter, etc. The instruction book comes with a bunch of slime recipes, not just your basic type, which prolonged the fun experience. I plan to get more of these and stash in cupboard for easy go-to activities.
