N038785 Air Compressor Piston Rod Parts Compatible with 73 mm (2-7/8" Bore) Cylinder for Air Compressor Cylinder Repair Kit

Bought this for a Dewalt D55168 air compressor as described in the specifications. Problem is that there are several different types of, type 1-9 with the same model #. They don't tell you that. Bought the first one which blew the seal within seconds, returned for a replacement, 2nd one lasted almost 45 seconds and it blew also. Contacted Dewalt and found out about the difference in model types. This part will fit the earlier series but not the middle or later ones. Check your model and type listed on your compressor or call Dewalt service for the correct part numbers before buying this item. Quality of piston kit offered was good as long as it will fit your type series.
