My First Drum Lesson Book for Kids: Beginner Color-Coded Drumming System, Fun & Easy, Drum Cut-Out Included!

Child is receiving private lessons. Not sure about the book lessons. Instruction is not using this tool.

This is a great little book but it was too childish for my 9 yr old very beginner drummer. I thought since my son just started drumming this book would be appropriate but it is definitely preschool and lower drumming beats. That being said, it is a great book for the appropriate age group.

My son is 5 and has a set of drums. He enjoys the lessons and the ease of it since it's color coordinated. It's fun and he feels like he's really playing.

Our son has always loved the drums. We got this book because it looked like it would be the perfect thing to help him learn in a fun, simple way. It absolutely is! What an awesome, clever way to teach kids. It's super simple to use and has him engaged. He's figuring out the patterns on his own just following the colors. We laminated the drum cut out that came with the book and it should last a while. Highly recommended for the musical kid.

The biggest issue with this book is that it is NOT designed to stay open on a music stand. It should have a coil spine and be set in landscape format to allow children to set it on a music stand and play the drums. If that's your goal, this book is not for you. I have to stand and hold it open for my son to use it.

This book is great for me to teach simple beats to my 3 year old classes while making it fun for them to follow along with the color laminates.Love this book very user friendly
