What a great book?
It took me two weeks of heavy reading to tackle this copious book of about 700 pages. I wanted to read it in the first place because i felt like I was in need of upgrading my AD skills to the 21st century. This book does just that for me and I really thank the author for putting so much efforts in getting this work done. Kuddos to you my fellow. This book is packed with examples, especially in PowerShell. If someone needed to get his hands dirty, here we go. You will be well served ah ah ah ah..... OH i like this book. Thanks again for putting your talent to the service of others.I did notice a few typos and things the like, but this book is so good that the benefits overpowered these little distraction. There are not that many of them, so.Best regards

Good Material by Author - Horrible Editing by Publisher
The material in this is solid. The last AD book I read was for 2003 and I bought this to refresh some details and to get caught up on new additions. However, I found myself skimming over a significant portion of this because of the increasingly annoying typos and grammatical errors. The publisher really let the author (and the audience) down with this one.

Props to the author, but not to the publisher
This book contains valuable information but it is let down by many typographical and grammatical errors, which make it really frustrating to read. The publisher should have done a better job.

Good starting point but light on detail
If you're starting out with Active Directory and you wanted a book that explained key concepts and aspects in an easily understood manner so that you have enough to be able to start working with it then this is for you. If you wanted to do a deep dive and understand the nitty gritty details that allow AD and it's supporting components to work, then Active Directory 5th Edition by O'Reilly would be a better option.

Not a mastering one
The book contains the detailed knowledge of active directory and covers almost all topics. But I could not say this is a mastering one. There are other books avaialble like active directory resource kit for windows server 2008which really deserves for active directory mastering. only problem is that it is limited to windows server 2008.
