After 40 years I got back into the Rubik's cube.Just thought I'd get a cheap timer, other than just using my phone.Am impressed with this unit, although I just use it for myself it has many functions to allow multi player.Not yet used the 3.5mm jack to connect to my computer.It does require 2 AAA batteries to run, not supplied.The two touch pads are very resposive, although it is plastic ... It is good quality plastic. Yes they are ' touch ' pads but whenever you are doing a timing thing people don't tend to touch just to stop. When they finish it is more of a 'hit' than 'touch' if you know what I mean and this is pretty solid so should stand up to that.The display is an old school LCD like you used to have on calculators, but slightly curved just to look good. Works well but no backlight as far as I can see.Has a good manual with it, see one of the photos.For those wanting more this is part of a whole package, Qiyi also do mats and this package includes the mounts to connect to that as well as displays for club / proffesional use.The timer can also be used pretty much for any other games you want to play on your own or with friends.Price is around right for this, have no problem recommending it from an amateur perspective.

Fantastic easy to use, portable. light weight timer, not just for rubick cubes can be used in any game that requires a timer.The timer itself has a great easy to read display, you can set the timer and it also has a speed race option, both easily controlled by a touchscreen interface.Great addition to any family games night event, seem's a little expensive for what it is but if your into speed timed games then this is much better than having a stopwatch or a egg timer.Appears well made.

My boys are really keen on improving their time solving the Rubiks cube. Terrible product. Ordered twice and neither worked so returning for a second time.

The instructions manual was wt helpful. Kid could set iup and get it running. Normal AAA required. Keep them ready cos kid is going to love the new experience.
