The inside is not machined or square!
These bases are high quality and the outside machining and finish is exceptional.BUT .. and that's a BIG but .. the insides of the mount are NOT machined. The base is cast, then the outside is machined to make it look as good as it does.The inside of the mount is a rough cast that is neither sqaure, or straight. so a precision made 2"x2" painted aluminum fence pole wil not fit without a lot of grinding and filing.I finally got the posts to fit and then I also dirlled holes into the sides of the mounts to allow installation of additional mounting screws to keep the pole secure.With all the work and additional mounting screws, the bases worked very well and look very nice.

Very good quality
These seemed like an excellent quality post flange. Very nice machining on them. I decided to go another route with my post mounting after I ordered these however the quality of these made it tough to send them back.
