Yes, the unit is small, but, it's exactly the size that is shown in the description/specs. So, check out the stated dimensions and base your decision on the real numbers. The directions are only OK, but assembly is easy if you've had some experience assembling IKEA or Sauder ready to assemble pieces. It's exactly what I needed so, I am very pleased with this purchase, (the exact same item was almost 4 times as much on the Bed, Bath & Beyond site). I'd buy it again!

Shelf was perfect for what I needed!Assembly was EASY! Follow the Instuctions!!!Also, I did check the reviews with photos and videos saying "the holes didn't line up" AFTER I had already assembled it. I can assure you 99% of them assembled it incorrectly it was very obvious after assembling it myself.Lastly I would like to thank FedEx for cracking one of the pieces. I made it work anyways.

First of all, I want to say that I did not let the seller know I had an issue with the order and didn't request any assistance, so I'm not sure how helpful they'd be if I had. They sent me a white set of these when I had ordered the black, and they were about a week late too! I decided I didn't mind that I got sent the wrong color, and went ahead and assembled it anyway. I've been assembling furniture all week as I recently moved, and this was by far the worst experience I've had thus far! The instructions are clear and it's "easy" to assemble, but it's very cheap materials and ended up pretty rickety. I'm going to use it for now but it would not survive another move. The instructions do say to avoid tightening the screws until the very end to avoid it being rickety, but that did not help in my experience. All and all, it will work for now and I love the modern look and modular nature of the piece. It's just, well, kind of crap.

There are missing holes in the wooden part which inhibit assembly. It does not align properly with the holes — there are 2 missing ones on one side as well. Would not recommend.

I genuinely never write reviews but i have never been as disrespected by customer service people as this company. We built both pieces of this shelf and one seemed to have holes drilled in the wrong place. We requested a replacement and they reached out basically telling me we did it wrong - but didn’t say how to fix it - and then cancelled the exchange before I could get back to them the next day. Working with this company makes this not worth it at all cause the product is just fine. Would not recommend.

absolutely love this uniqueshelving unit! it fits perfectly under our window and the adjustability of it allows us to elongate it if needed.this product was super easy to put together, the instructions couldn't be more clear; not sure why others have indicated otherwise.I'm so glad I found this and didn't let negative reviews deter me from purchasing.
