great quality products
Everything in this package deal is very good, even great quality. The net is the kind that does not get snagged by a hook. So I am very satisfied. However, a word of caution. DO NOT completely pull out the handle from the actual net. It won't end well as it is extremely hard to RE-INSERT. In my experience, I would say impossible without damaging the part where the handle is inserted. I say this because my lovely 16 year old grandson put some muscle to it and accidently removed the handle. BIG MISTAKE. I quasi fixed it, but will probably buy a new one next season. Life ain't perfect. It was nothing the manufacturer did.Again I am pleased with the products.

Strong, good length at 6 foot, wide net
I have broken one landing net already that was much cheaper/thinner aluminum on just a 6lb catfish. That net was maybe half the price I paid for this one, but I can tell this one ain't breaking. Its seriously solid and thick on the metal handles. They lock into place surprisingly very well, your not just spinning little plastic discs on the handles to tighten them into place like most of the extendable nets on the market. The net itself is very wide and I barely managed to get the 6 lb catfish into my other net I broke, but I could probably fit a nice 25 pounder in this one. Still trying to reel another tank in to really put it to the test but it's pulling out 3-5 lb cats effortlessly.

Great for the price, but don't buy for the bag
This net is wonderful for the price. Let me get the negatives out of the way first. The bag that it comes in is cheaply made, doesn't slide on and off easily, and is a bit of a pain to use. I might eventually use it sometime when the net inside it is completely dry and I'm traveling somewhere and the net has to be packed in with other non-fishy stuff. Otherwise, I won't. I can't say that I really care about this, though, as I didn't buy it for the bag. The net was shipped in a massive flat box that was many times larger than the net and there was nothing else in the box. The net clearly bounced around in the box on its way to me, but once it was dusted off there was no damage to it at all due to its very solid construction (more on that later). I also didn't really mind this. Now, for the negative that I did mind. There were some machining marks on the metal hinge mechanism that made folding and unfolding the hoop not quite smooth. It still worked, but took more effort than it should have. These were easy enough to detect and fix with a quick smoothing with a file. I also added a bit of marine grease to make it even smoother while I was fixing this, and now it folds and unfolds really easily and smoothly. Now that I've covered the negatives, let me cover the positives. This net is GREAT, especially for the price. It is very strong, even with the handle fully extended. I generally only extend it enough to get the handle slid all the way out of the hoop since I'm usually fishing on my kayak. Even so, I extended the other section and played around with picking up various heavy items in my garage to amuse myself since it was built so well. I hope I get a chance later this year to lift a big salmon out of the rivers when we're banking fishing. I have no doubt that it will handle it well. It also packs up very small for its full size without compromising hoop strength or being too narrow at one end like most collapsible nets. I used it yesterday out on the kayak fishing and netting well over 20 fish (it was a good day) and it worked great for every one of them.If not for those machining marks that I had to clean up to make it perfect, I would have rated the net five stars for sure. Many people may not have cared about that, but I'm an engineer and always want my gear to work as well as it possibly can. At this price point, there's nothing else on the market that can compare to the quality and value of this net. I know of at least one more of these that has been purchased due to seeing mine. I expect that there will be many more. :)

Worth it. Take care of our fish.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this net for 50 bucks and it came with a carry case. Ive used it and have some pros and cons. Its a great net and i think its worth the price. Also if your a carp or cat fisherman get one if you can afford it, its not good to take a top predator like a trophy cat out of the ecosystem. So pros for this net would be its easy to get a hook out of it without destroying the net. Its long and can handle a good bit of weight and its got the rubber coating to protect the fish and their slime barrier. It dries out quick and comes with a carry case and it also has a ruler on the handle for easy measuring. Its great. Some cons would be the extension handle on mine just keeps spinning and doesnt lock in place. Its not a big problem but over time i dont know how the extension will hold up. Its really easy to open but it will pinch you if you dont watch your finger. And i wish the bag had a zipper and opened all the way down it. This would make it easier to dry out and easier to put back in but again this really isnt a problem for me. Thats it. I dont have any reason not to give this five stars besides my knit picking. I love it and im glad ive got to use it before old man winter gets here. Cant wait for the spring so i can use this every day. Seriously love it and if your thinking you need one this net is awesome for the price. Now i can safely handle the fish and not feel guilty when i drop one or the leader breaks off in its mouth when i try to wrangle it in. Its made my life way easier and i stay dry. It also gives my wife something to do when i catch a fish she is the official "net guy" now!

Verey Useful, Very well made
This product is impressive for the price. I believe it compares to the much higher priced Yak Attak net that goes for aouut 3 times the price. Like any other fishing net, time will tell how it holds up to use and abuse but my initial impression is that it is a quality product and worth more than the price.

Just deep enough
Fish and drop shot weights don’t get tangled up in the net. I would buy again, nice net.

Cheap cast parts
This net is great that it folds which is great for travel, but the folding hinges are poor quality cast metal that is really brittle. I took this net to Alaska to fish for reds last July on the Kenai River, first fish we landed the hinge snapped. I also had issues with the net material itself. The netting is very cheap and easily tears if you snag a tree or something on a trail.

Excellent quality net
This is a excellent quality fishing net, perfect for trout, carp etc. The extending feature makes it easier to land fish from the side of the loch too. Been using it now since start of the summer and had plenty of fish through it. Still looks like new, no holes etc in netting, and the provided storage bag makes it easy to carry. It's also light so again easy to carry with the rest of the gear...

Excellent
Great fishing landing net, arguably the best I have owned over the years. Compact, sturdy, good for medium/large size fish.
