ROBB HITS A HOMERUN!
As a teacher I read many, many books seeking to improve my craft. I am always on the lookout of a quick read, lots of great ideas, hopefully a CD with resources mixed with good old fashioned know how and the latest teaching news and techniques. This will be my 20 + years teaching and I have read ALL of Laura Robb's books and this tool kit is a future classic for all teachers. The book is laid out with good sized print and easy to follow. Robb clearly and masterfully presents not only lessons on reading skills but offers lessons for reteaching for students that may still struggle. I also want to make sure that I add this is a WONDERFUL resource for ELL teachers, Special Educations teachers, Intervention teachers and also regular education teachers as these lessons take the guess work out of " What do I do if,,,The features of the book are clearly marked, easy to follow directions and the rubrics in the appendix are AWESOME! If you are on a limited budget and want to freshen up your classroom, reach kids and watch them excell THE READING INTERVENTION TOOL KIT IS A MUST HAVE!!!!!!! IT EVEN HAS A CD with reproducible goodies. OUT OF THE PARK HOMERUN!

Need ideas for fiction and/or nonfiction Interventions with upper elementary and middle school students?
This toolkit is packed with resources that can be used IMMEDIATELY with students to add to universal core instruction or for interventions. The flexibility of sample lessons with planning for 3-4 minute, 5-minute, 10-15 minute, and 20-30 minute interventions is huge.! The list of possible scaffolds for each lesson coupled with the CD has enough materials for any teacher AND student to be successful. If you are focusing on comprehension interventions and learning in grades 4-8, this is the book you need!

Great Reading Interventions!
I read through the Reading Intervention Toolkit over Winter Break looking for some new ideas for my 3rd and 4the grade students with reading disabilities. I like the way the book is organized and I did find a few things that I used to do that I should try to fit back in my limited instruction time. Great book for new teachers looking for reading interventions!

Not clear on levels
I was excited to get this book and it seems like a great resource, however it does not say clearly that this is a level 4-8 book. If you are looking for intervention resources for students under a 600 Lexile, do not buy! Have to return this book now.

Wow! Not only is this book fantastic the CD that’s part of this book is packed with information too. On it you’ll find all the texts Robb uses for the lessons plus handouts for teachers that support their interventions and handouts for students that remind them of a process they’ve practiced! There are so many wonderful teaching ideas and lessons in this book! Robb shows how to use bookmarks and notebook writing to get inside students’ heads in order to support their reading progress! There are conference forms, a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts, and lessons that include Robb’s plans and a list of possible scaffolds! You’ll reach every reader you teach with suggestions in this book!
